Rescue Me ID: 17-06-21-00167Winston (male)

German Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Winston is a 3 year old GSD. He lost his front right leg to a car about a year ago - but it does not slow him down at all. He is well mannered, completely house broken. Winston is good with dogs his size - he can play a little rough so I would not recommend small dogs. He does not need a home with any small animals (IE Cats, goats, etc.) Because of his size I would recommend a home with older children.

Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello, my name is Lexie. Im very sweet and cuddly and I'm really fun to be around, I love to play fetch and do tricks. I do well with all humans even the really small ones. I love playing with bigger dogs but sometimes I get anxious around the smaller ones and like to let them know who's boss. my favorite thing to do is jump 4' chain link fences which is why my family has to find me a more suitable home, so I really need a big pasture to run in or a nice 6' fence to play in. I'm coming from a caring loving family that wants to make sure I'll be adopted by the same! So please be prepared to show pictures of where my new home might be!

Rescue Me ID: 17-06-03-00251Thor (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Thor is a 1 year old Shepherd mix (his birthday was in February). We think he may be mixed with hound (Basset Hound to be specific because he has a long torso and shorter legs). He is neutered, been micro-chipped, and is up to date on his rabies shots. He is very sweet and playful. Best place for him would be a family with a yard and kids (or adults) who have time to play with him and give him attention. He is house broken, but we had to train him where it was appropriate to use the bathroom, so that will be expected from his new home. He is about 53 pounds at the moment, so he's not that big of a dog. He loves to run and play chase, fetch, ... (Read More)and to swim. He is typically pretty quiet as far as barking is concerned, and only really barks if he gets overexcited during play time, or is playing with other dogs, not much at home. He loves people and is very excited when meeting new people. We don't have kids ourselves, but when he's been around children he seems very happy with them. We love him and want to make sure that he goes to a good home! He truly is a good dog that we would love to keep, however, we currently live in an apartment and medical issues and upcoming changes are going to prevent us from giving him the time/attention he needs so we feel his needs would be best met elsewhere. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

I am trying to help an elderly woman find a good home for Phoebe. She found this dog as a stray and kept her with good intentions, but she is unable to care for her and give her the attention she needs. Phoebe is very sweet and loving, loves attention. She really needs to be with someone who can get out in the yard and play with her. Right now she is stuck in a house and unable to get out and play. She seems to be good with most dogs, but does not like cats. She hasn't been around any children, so unsure as to whether or not she would get along with them. As far as I know, she hasn't had her shots or a vet check up (she would need that). ... (Read More)She will also need a fenced in yard. I listed her as a shepherd mix, only because we've had a few people say she has that in her. I really don't know what she is mixed with. Please email any questions. (Less)
