Rescue Me ID: 18-03-05-00078Lady (female)
Current owners adopted Lady when she was 3 months old. As she got older, she developed severe anxiety which has resulted in aggression with other dogs. She is a sweet dog otherwise, but she has a lengthy track record with attacking other dogs. Current owners are about to have a baby and can't keep her.

Rescue Me ID: 18-03-03-00153Zoey (female)
This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Zoey is a very high energy but sweet dog. She loves to play Frisbee, has been raised in a house with three cats, but can get a little aggressive toward them at meal times. I took her in at 8weeks when my son and his girlfriend could not care for her anymore. But feel she would do better with someone who could devote more time and energy toward her.

Rescue Me ID: 18-02-01-00263SCOUT (male)
Scout has been trained to walk nicely on a leash. He knows Sit, Heal, Wait (when going out the door) lay or down. Off leash he is a fun loving boy with lots of energy. Would do well in an active family and as part of the family. Small children not advised as he might accidentally knock them down. He was abandoned on an isolated dirt road and we think he had been beaten. His confidence is built up and he is ready for his forever home. If he will not be part of the family and kept as an indoor/outdoor dog please do not apply. Fenced yard will be great. Thank you for looking!!!

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-14-00221Rex (male)
Rex is around 5 years of age, he had been wondering for months before we were able to get him safe and secure. He had and old injury from getting hit by a car. It has since healed and doesn't seem to cause him any pain. He was very skinny and is hearworm positive. We have started putting weight on him and he will be starting treatment soon for heartworms. Rex did very well with female dogs and would do ok with a more submissive male. He did well with an older child 10+, but does not currently live with them. Rex also did ok with his cat testing but he will chase if they run, so we do not feel comfortable adopting him to a house with cats at this time. Rex loves balls and has a drive to work. Unfortunately he cannot work full time due to his injury but if you are looking for something fun to do with your dog, Rex is your man! Rex does guard his toys and food with other dogs, this will take some time to work through but with the right trainer and time it can be managed. If you are interested in Rex please fill out an application with Sweet Home Doberman Rescue. www.sweethomedobermanrescue.org (Less)

German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Alabama if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
