Nelson just turned 10 years old and is an affectionate, loyal companion. He is very well house trained and would be a great fit for someone who is looking for good indoor company. He will alert you of visitors but quickly settles down at prompting. He is loving and loyal to a fault. He is very sweet-natured but does not like to compete for the attention of his owner. For this reason, he would be best suited for older children/adults without other pets.

I have to find this sweet baby a new home in less than a week. My landlord has threatened to evict my family of 5 if I can't find him a home. His father was full blooded pit, the mother was 1/2 pit 1/2 German Shepherd. I have been trying to crate train (even though he is still a little too young) he has not had an accident in his crate in about a week. He has shown some signs of food aggression, but I've been working with him, and he is still young enough to correct. He has the best personality. He has an interest in cats but they don't want to play with him. He hasn't been aggressive with my cats. He is good with ducks and chickens, ... (Read More)curious... But doesn't attack them. He is playful but really not hyperactive. Please someone give my baby a chance. :) (Less)

This will be forwarded to the vet of your choice. The normal contract will include an agreement to have the puppy spayed or neutered and is not negotiable. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) group, so all funds go right back into the care of these and future wonderful pups. Out of state adoptions are possible, however, you must be willing pay for the health certificate, if necessary and the transport fee. We do not personally transport dogs, therefore, are reliant on independent transport services. There is not always a transport available and it can be costly. You are always welcome to pick up your new family member. We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays, and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to 'outside only' homes. Nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock or do any other alterations, except spaying and neutering their pets. We highly recommend positive training methods once pets are placed in forever homes. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines and given rabies certificates. ALL PUPPIES NOT SPAYED OR NEUTERED PRIOR TO ADOPTION WILL REQUIRE A SPAY NEUTER CONTRACT SIGNED AND DATED BY ADOPTERS. (Less)

Nala, is an extremely sweet dog. We have three children (ages 2-6), and she is WONDERFUL with all of them. She was found on the side of the road about two years ago, and it was quickly discovered that she has an unexpected aggression toward other dogs. She accidentally killed a chihuahua when it charged our fence two years ago. She felt that our safety was threatened due to the dog charging. Nala is a dog that comes indoors and outdoors. She currently lives with an adult (male) german shepard mix, and does well with him. We have tried to socialize her with other dogs, and have been unsuccessful. We would love to provide her a home ... (Read More)without any other dogs where she could live out the rest of her years. A shelter is not an option, as she has become like family to us. We have a hard time keeping her living next door to the neighbors where she previously killed their chihuahua. It is a constant stress that she will injure another one of there small animals. Please help give her a GREAT HOME!! Please text for more information! (Less)
