Rescue Me ID: 13-01-08-00426Bear (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Bear is a sweet and loving dog who is just learning how to trust people. He is looking for a Forever Home that will not only welcome him as a member of the family, but help him to learn to trust and not be afraid. He is working on his socialization skills with humans and other dogs. Bear has velvet-soft hair, which probably accounts for his name! He is still shy and skittish, therefore as a defense mechanism he resorts to the drop-flat position when you reach for him. He doesn't bark and does very well in his kennel. He is just learning how to come out of his shell and how to be snuggled and loved. Bear wants to play, he's just unsure ... (Read More)if that's acceptable. He's also intrigued by squeaky toys but has yet to learn to play with them. He likes treats and takes them with a gentle mouth. It's unknown what happened to Bear to make him fearful and untrusting. What we do know is that Bear is looking for that exceptional human who has lots of patience, love and understanding. He needs a human who is willing to give him the basic obedience and socialization no one before cared about giving to him. Are you that special person to open your heart and home to a sweet boy who just needs someone to love him unconditionally? Please fill out the paperwork and start the process of giving Bear his loving, caring home. (Less)
