Hi, my name is Vida! I only weigh 30 lbs and my foster parents say I'm 'a total sweetheart.' I think that's because I'm gentle and love to play kissy-face with everyone I meet. I'm a really really good girl: I'm house trained and crate trained, I'm great with other dogs AND cats, I ride well in the car, I'm gentle with kids. Shall I go on? I would really love a forever home with someone who will cuddle with me and give me plenty of exercise - my favorites include tug-o-war with a good rope toy, playing chase in the yard, or going for a long walk. I can't wait to find my forever family. I currently live in a foster home in Texas. If you ... (Read More)choose to adopt me then Rescue Road Trips will bring me north! (Less)

Maui is a big, goofy purebred American White Shepherd. He is loving but doesn't know his own size, he always wants to play and be rewarded. Unfortunately I have no time for him and he always wants to tear a part our other male dog. He used to be my mother's dog but she got divorced with my father. I cannot hold him back and he has some issues, I am sure he could be trained. I do not want to be responsible if he bites someone, when my mother used to drive around with her bad anxiety attacks Maui changed (she always took him every where she went and falsely registered him as a service dog). He's already bitten a couple people trying to protect ... (Read More)her. I just need someone who understands male German Shepherds and who can handle a 100 lb+ dog. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-04-26-00083Ruby (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Our Ruby is a beautiful gem of a girl, who at just one and a half years old, finds herself in Rescue. Ruby had been a stray for some time, before Animal Control Officers brought her to a local shelter. Every attempt was made to find Ruby's owners, but nobody came for her. In the meantime, she had the good sense to buddy up to our friend, Emily, who reached out to us on her behalf. Ruby appears to be a striking mix of Doberman Pinscher and German Shepherd. The most striking quality about Ruby is her deep brown eyes that seemed to convey soulful emotion in one moment, and impish charm in the next. Ruby has the classic black and tan Doberman ... (Read More)colors, as well as the Dobey elongated muzzle. Her floppy tipped ears give her the look of a court jester, and suggest the merger of the Doberman's natural ears with the Shepherd's pricked ears. She is a large, strong, 50 pound dog, but despite her size, Ruby is easy to handle on lead. She has a smooth, tri-color coat that requires minimal grooming. Ruby is a mix of two extremely powerful, intelligent working breeds, so the need for her to receive sufficient exercise and leadership training is paramount. She needs at least two to three brisk leash walks daily, as well as focussed playtime and consistent obedience work. Ruby has quite easily mastered her basic obedience routine and is on her way to Canine Good Citizenship. Adopters should be able to continue her training and achieve certification quickly. Ruby has a gentle, friendly demeanor and genuinely loves human contact. She would be a good choice for an active single or couple who can provide the exercise and attention that she needs, or she could join a family with older kids. Ruby is on the laid-back end of the personality spectrum, and while she loves to play, her style is not over-the-top rough-house. Ruby longs to make a connection to a great family. She is crate trained, but long periods of time in the crate cause her a little bit of loneliness. She needs a home where there is a lot of action and attention, and where she can shine as a superstar. Ruby enjoys the company of other dogs, and could easily join a multi-dog home. She has a neutral temperament that could blend into just about any kind of pack. We have not checked her with cats, but her demeanor is gentle, and we anticipate that she could coexist with cats nicely. Ruby has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained. Ruby is in excellent health, has been spayed. She has been vaccinated for Rabies, DHLPPC (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo, parainfluenza and coronavirus), She has been boostered as needed. She has had the 4dx test: negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. If you are interested in Ruby, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com or call Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info. Eskies Online is a 501(c)(3) Multibreed rescue group that serves unwanted American Eskimos and other dogs in need. Our group of volunteer foster homes spans the North East, and our adoption territory extends from Maine to eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and parts of northern Maryland. Once an adopter is approved, we arrange transportation. We do not adopt dogs beyond our territory.     Take a look at this handsome Pup! Scooby is a 6-months-old and about 45lbs. He is a shepherd / black mouth cur mix. This poor guy has had a tough life so far, he was hit by a car when he was 12 weeks old, taken to the vet and left there. We just got this very sweet boy into our rescue. He's a little shy but once he warms up he is great with dogs and would love a forever home to call his own. We do vet check and home visits on our adopters. Adoption fee is $385 and all dogs are neutered/spayed and up to date on shots. Please contact us if you would like to fill out an application
