Rescue Me ID: 13-05-14-00408Blackie (male)
My family is moving to a no-pets rental house for a year and Blackie needs a foster home with an option for me to take him back after I can find a better home for us. Blackie's a sweet dog who loves to hug and kiss, take walks and play. I can provide more details to the prospective foster parent. He's good with other dogs, but preferably puppies or very young dogs. I'm unable to upload current photos of Blackie to this site, but will provide his pics on request through email.

Rescue Me ID: 13-05-12-00249Kyle (male)
Kyle is nine years old, male, and fixed. He has a great temperament (very calm). He would not be good around children for the simple reason, he does not like his tail or feet played with. He is loyal, very smart, quiet, unless there is a cause to warn the master. He loves the dog park. Kyle is easy going and prefers to stroll around the dog park meeting and greeting. He reserves romping around for another shepard. Kyle is healthy, had his shots and license issued. He was originally rescued by Zoe's German Shepards Rescue. Kyle was minutes from the gas chamber when pull out by Zoe's. Kyle is truly a great pet and the most loyal animal I have ever seen.. (Less)

Animal ID: 17389856Gilligan (male)
Gilligan is a wonderful playful boy. He has been in his foster home for a few months and is so happy in his home environment. He loves other dogs and people, loves to play ball and fetch. He would be great for the active family, recommend older children with Gilligan as he is an active boy. He is totally housetrained, walks good on his leash and crate trained. He is heart worm negative, on heart worm prevention, neutered, had all his shots, also been wormed and on flea prevention. This guy would be great to take hiking and other fun activities. Gilligan loves attention and just wants to be loved.

PIease Read Before Adopting a German Shepherd in Connecticut
German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
