She rocks, she rolls, she rattles, she is a wide open German shepherd puppy named dolly. Ms. Dolly is typical in all aspects of a young German shepherd puppy (4-5 months), if it runs she chases it, if it smells she rolls in it, if it is wet and muddy she plays in it, all the while trying to figure out how to get all of this and her in your lap. Our young lady has performed well in all aspects of her socialization and training programs while still enjoying all things puppy.     LIFE OR DEATH Which one lives and which one doesn't? Saving dogs that are heartworm positive leaves only two choices, life or death. If the HW's are not treated, the dog will not survive. Paying for the treatment is a huge financial burden and rescues don't know if the dog is HW positive until after the dog is taken into their program. Then the choice for the rescue becomes ominous, either find the money to treat the dog or face a heartbreaking decision. If you can't donate, we certainly understand. However, could you pretty please cross-post this message to just one other person that might be able to help? Our faces below would greatly ... (Read More)appreciate it and it would make a difference between death of heart-worms or life. A link below will take you to our fundraising website where we tell each of their stories and have photos of each dog. These faces of 11 sweet souls who tested positive for Heartworm can't live without treatment. They have been saved instead of euthanized because this disease CAN be treated. All of our funds for medical expenses have been exhausted. We need your help to pay for their treatment and recovery so ALL 5 dogs can live the lives they deserve for another ten to twelve years. PLEASE GIVE WHAT YOU CAN AND PASS THE MESSAGE ON TO YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COWORKERS Here is the link to our online fundraiser, it is easy to use and we will continue to do updates on all the dogs till they are in their fur-ever home. https://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/saving-dogs-life-or-death/333104 (Less)

German Shepherd    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Nala is a 14 month old full breed German Shepherd puppy. She has grown up with my son who is 8 months old and is wonderful with him. She LOVES people. if you're looking for a guard dog, this is NOT the dog to choose. She rarely barks, but does love to chase birds. She has been socialized with other animals including, dogs, cats, and birds since she was a young pup. I take her to dog park at least once a week. She is great with kids. It is heartbreaking for us to give her away but we have to move from a house to an apartment and they do not accept dogs. Also, there is no affordable, suitable, housing in the area that will allow pets. It's a ... (Read More)very sad and unfortunate situation but we can only hope that she goes to the best home because she deserves it. She is an amazing dog who has gone through training at k-9 eagle academy in Bethany, ct. If there is ever an issue she can always go back there for free to be retrained. The only reason there is an adoption fee for nala is because I spent a lot of money between purchase and training, plus I really only want someone who is serious enough about her to spend money on her. She is fully house trained and up to date on all shots. She has a payment plan at petsmart in waterbury were she goes for exam visits and shots. She was also spayed there. Only serious inquiries only please. I'm going to be very particular about the home she is placed in and will request that the adopter fills out an adoption sheet that I will e-mail and a fenced in yard is a must. We have one at our house because she loves being outside. I also have more photos of her, and videos upon request. (Less)
