Rescue Me ID: 17-06-19-00106Koda (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Meet Koda! A 2 year old neutered male who was recently transferred to us from another shelter in Idaho. He's stunning, isn't he? Koda is a lover, not a fighter. He is also a rather large lap dog. But we obviously don't mind. This boy gets along with other dogs, though he is reactive in this environment, and he wants nothing more than to be with his people all the time. Koda loves to play and go for walks. When he's bored, he gets into trouble. He was previously surrendered to the other shelter because he can climb over a seven foot fence and will dig in the yard when left unattended. His new family will need to keep him physically and ... Rescue Me ID: 17-05-31-00085Kilo (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Gorgeous Kilo was transferred to MCR from a shelter in Utah. He had previously been adopted and returned due to health problems. (His health has since been excellent.) The previous adopter reports that Kilo was reactive to other dogs while on leash and that he would jump and nip at children's hands if they were holding anything. Here at MCR, we have noted that Kilo is reactive in the kennel environment. He has met another dog and behaved fairly well, though he is tense when the other dog wants to sniff him. For now, we're recommending a home without other animals or small children -- just to be safe. Kilo is a lover once he's out of the ... (Read More)kennel. He barks for attention (or treats! those are good, too), and he wants nothing more than to soak up the love and pets while you're outside. Kilo is approximately 3 years old, happy and energetic and ready to please. We'd love to introduce you to this handsome fella. (Less)

Animal ID: A35351481Melanie (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Introducing Melanie! This lovely girl is absolutely beautiful and super sweet! She loves to run in the big yard and loves attention! Melanie came to us as a stray so we do not have previous history on her but what we do know is that she knows 'sit' and walks pretty well on a leash if she is wearing her Easy Walk harness! We are recommending that Melanie goes to a home with older kids due to her size and her tendency to guard her food and rawhide snacks. We are unsure yet how she feels about other dogs, and she was pretty intense meeting our office cat, so we don't feel a home with cats would be a good thing for her. Melanie would be an ... (Read More)excellent outdoor adventuring dog and is looking for a home that can provide her with a lot of exercise and some basic training! We will update you as we learn more about this amazing girl! Stop in today to meet Melanie! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-17-00374Sweetie (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Sweetie is a 12 year old Husky/Shepherd mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz from a local shelter after living with 20+ other dogs in a hoarding situation. Sweetie deserves to be spending her senior years in a home, not a shelter so we placed her in one of our foster homes and now she is ready to find someone to love her and cherish her for the rest of her life. This pretty girl is an easy keeper and is looking for a quieter home that she will happily share with other animals. She is good with most other dogs and we are told she is also fine with cats. She will however not put up with much nonsense form a hyper dog so ... (Read More)we'd suggest a calmer quieter dog or no dog at all. If a dog is to hyper and pushy Sweetie will hide and tremble; so only a calm, easy going dog is going to work for her. She has nice house manners, is house trained and we haven't seen any bad habits from her yet. And she is smaller than average weighing in at just 48 pounds! She can become a bit disoriented when out for walks, so a home with a fenced yard that she can safely hang out in would be ideal. Sweetie does pose a flight risk as she has been known to bolt out the front door or open fence gate. Sweetie can be fairly aloof with some people but when she clicks she clicks hard. She does seem to be more comfortable around women She recently had a full vet work up including x-rays and the only thing they found was some slight arthritis in her hind quarters. Due to her age we ask that no kids under 12; a calm quiet home environment would be best. Sweetie is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $50.00.
