Rescue Me ID: 17-04-17-00374Sweetie (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Sweetie is a 12 year old Husky/Shepherd mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz from a local shelter because come on Sweetie deserves to be spending her senior years in a home, not a shelter. This pretty girl is an easy keeper and is looking for a quieter home that she will happily share with other animals. She is good with most other dogs and we are told she is also fine with cats. She will however not put up with much nonsense form a hyper dog so we'd suggest a calmer quieter dog or no dog at all. She has nice house manners, is house trained and we haven't seen any bad habits from her yet. And she is smaller than ... (Read More)average weighing in at just 48 pounds! She can become a bit disoriented when out for walks, so a home with a fenced yard that she can safely hang out in would be ideal. Sweetie does pose a flight risk as she has been known to bolt out the front door or open fence gate. Sweetie can be fairly aloof with some people but when she clicks she clicks hard. She does seem to be more comfortable around women She recently had a full vet work up including x-rays and the only thing they found was some slight arthritis in her hind quarters. Due to her age we ask that no kids under 12; a calm quiet home environment would be best. Sweetie is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $50.00. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa ID Joe Neutered Male German Shepherd/Husky mix Est DOB: 3/09 Size: Large Weight: 48 lbs Dogs really don't get any sweeter than Joe. This guy is looking for a quieter home where he can spend his golden years laying by the fire or at your feet. Joe is a little hesitant when first meeting people, but we think he will bond quickly and it won't take long for him to settle into a routine in his new home. Joe is great with other dogs and seems uninterested in cats. We feel a child free home would be best, as well as one with a secure fenced yard that he can explore. Joe is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He was ... (Read More)recently evaluated by a vet and appears to be in good health. His adoption fee is $50.00. Rescue Me ID: 17-04-08-00184Purdy (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Purdy is a young Shepard mix that has won her foster mom over. She is a sweet, lovable dog about a year old that is spayed, current on all vaccinations and microchiped. It seems that Purdy has had somewhat of a sheltered life because she is not comfortable coming inside the house but is working on it. She could use some leash training, but off leash she is great and responds to the command 'Come' immediately. Purdy is okay with other basic commands. She is submissive, even lays down when her foster brother, a Dachshund, comes over to play with her. A slow introduction to people and other dogs is best but once that is done, she is ... (Read More)wonderful. We do recommend a home with older children. Purdy has lots of energy and love to give someone who would help build her confidence up. (Less)
