|Rescue Me ID: 16-04-27-00221Sage (female)|
FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sage is a German Shepherd/Samoyed mix to the best of our guessing ability; she is about 6 years old and she has had a rough life up to the point where she came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue. This super sweet girl can be a bit on the timid side and needs time to warm up to new people but if you are willing to give her a bit she will prove to be totally worth it and loyal to a fault. She is shy and very reserved when out in public and will keep her distance with strangers until she feels comfortable with them. Sage is also smart and easy to live with. She is crate trained and will go in with the simple command of 'go to bed'. Sage is dog door trained and walks great on a lead! She is not a digger, chewer or jumper! She stays off of furniture unless she is invited and has shown no signs of sleeping on the bed with her foster person. She rides great in the car and it very quiet unless something startles her in the backyard. Good with other dogs; doing great with both the senior and younger dog in her foster home. We have not had her with cats but she is so easy going we think with the proper introduction she would be fine. Sage was pretty sick when we took her in and it was a long road to recovery but she pulled through with flying colors. To keep her healthy and strong she will need a good health diet (grain free and salmon protein), regular exercise and remember she has a double coat so will need regular brushing. This beauty would do well with fairly active people, hikes would be fine but Sage is also happy with just a good daily walk. We do require no kids in Sages home under the age of 15 due to her being so shy. A quieter calm home environment would be best; but we want people for her that will continue to get her out and about to help break her out of her shyness. Sage is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and recently had a dental. If you feel you can offer this sweet girl the forever loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $40 adoption fee for Sage (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-03-13-00279Andy (male)|
Meet Andy!! Andy is a reasonably compact hunk of LOVE!! He likely is a Shep/Corgi mix, hence his compactness, and he is a house trained, neutered, vaccinated, energetic when needed, loveable, snuglable, package of wonderfulness!! But, seriously, he really is an amazing boy! He likes other dogs, people, and seems to be uninterested in cats! Please ask to meet him!

German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Idaho if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
