Hans is 7 months old. We need a loving home TODAY. I'm at work all the time and don't have the time to care for this active puppy. My wife is nearing the end of a high risk pregnancy and isn't able to care for him when I am not home.

Need to rehome our dog. He's very sweet and loves to cuddle. Very protective of his pack and recently a 10 year old due to what we believe was protecting his girl (ages 8 and 10). Would be best in a home without young children and not with kids not in his pack. Very very smart and fast.

STILL AVAILABLE! She is between 14-16 months old, female, German shepherd, spayed. I took her as a temporary solution after the owner passed away. She has a very high energy level, as she comes from the home of a runner and is used to running 15-20 miles a week. She is willing to work hard for affection and attention, loves to play, loves to run FAST. She does well around my kids, but is so excited that she tends to jump unless I control her on the leash. She is used to a choke collar. She is friendly toward other dogs, but I have not let her play with my small dog for fear she would accidentally jump and hurt him. I have not tried her near the cat. She is crate trained and loves to be indoors, but because of my situation, she is housed in the garage and outside on a tie-out. She needs room to run and someone who has more time for a high-energy dog of her caliber. I do not have a lot of information other than I was told she is current on vaccinations when I received her. She does not have a microchip that my vet could find. (Less)

We are needing to rehome our baby boy. He is a 5 month German shepherd mix and weighs 26lbs. He is a very active, smart, and loving big boy. He has not officially been diagnosed but we (his vet and i) believe that he has megaesophagus or ME. It causes him to reguratate and have trouble eating like a regular dog. He will need a vet visit to make the proper diagnosis but we can not afford it. I have found a technique that works. He eats 3 meals a day and has to stand on his 2 back feet to stay elevated as he eats. I hold him for about 5-10 mins after so gravity can help the food go down to his stomach. He is great with kids and would be better with older kids 5 and up. He needs room to play and run as well. There will be a $100 rehoming fee to make sure he goes to a good home. We will inspect as well. We will keep him till we find him a good new home and new family. He has been fixed and is up to date on his shots. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-09-19-00124Ellie (female)|
We rescued Ellie in July, it was obvious she had been badly abused, she sat in the corner of her cage and shook. She has made a lot of progress but she is still struggling to feel comfortable in our home, I have two children, one being 3 yrs old, she makes Ellie nervous. We love her, she is the sweetest dog, she has shown no aggression, I have never even heard her bark. It breaks my heart to rehome her but we want to do what's best for Ellie. We are looking for someone who has some knowledge of working with abused dogs. Ellie has been spayed and up to date on her shots. If interested please call or text (606) 585-1936

|Rescue Me ID: 17-09-11-00052Bella (female)|
Bella's original owners left her on a chain outside. Her original owners were evicted and they left her there. The neighbors fed Bella, then she went to a foster home. Bella's foster said she was destructive. I have had ZERO ISSUES WITH HER BEING DESTRUCTIVE. If Bella is going to be left alone, she does need to be crated or she will be destructive. Bella is fully vaccinated,on monthly heart worm & flea prevention, gets monthly baths, microchipped, spayed, crate trained, eats well, responds to training very well, VERY high energy!!!,VERY AFFECTIONATE AND LOVING. Bella is a phenomenal dog but needs to be the ONLY dog in the home. She doesn't attack other dogs and appears to get along at first. She attacked my senior twice requiring medical attention. In order for Bella to have a successful adoption, she ABSOLUTELY MUST BE THE ONLY DOG IN THE HOME. A fenced in back yard is a must due to her high energy. Bella LOVES to run and play in the backyard and has not even attempted or been interested in jumping the fence. Bella also loves going on walks. She definitely needs leash training. Due to her horrible start in life, it's amazing she's as well adjusted as she is. Please help us find a furever home for this sweet loving girl. A home with experienced pet owners who are willing to work with and train her. She responds great to positive reinforcement training. Thanks for reading about her! (Less)

German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Kentucky if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
