Tank is very lovable. I have 2 smaller dogs but he only gets along with 1. He is very scared of bad weather. He is currently taking Dasaquin to help with his hop dysplasia. Wonderful with people and kids. Where we live we have to have a wireless collar on him so that he does not destroy the items under our patio and it also keeps him off the fence. Hi! My name is Mila. My family couldn't take me when they moved, so they brought me to the SPCA. It was a scary place, but my mom's friend came to get me out right away. I had heartworms, but my foster family got me treatment and now I take heartworm prevention monthly. It just tastes like a snack to me! I'm about 5 years old and am a pit/shepherd mix. I'm about 80 pounds now, spayed, micro-chipped, and up to date on all my shots. My old family kept me outside, so I hardly got to spend time with them. I'd rather be inside snuggling and playing, but I do love going for walks! I love toys and sometimes 'borrow' one from my cousin Minnie. I ... I love kids, but I sometimes forget I'm a big dog, so maybe a home with bigger kids would be best. I'm super sweet and friendly and my foster grandma says I'm really smart too. I know when I need to go to my 'room', and to sit, but stay needs some work. I'll get it eventually! Although my foster family loves me, I know they can't keep me because they already have fur-babies of their own. Poor Nellie was found hit by a car in the middle of the road. Luckily for her someone came along and saw her and she was quickly taken to the vet. Nellie is all healed now and in search of a new home that will keep her out the road. She does well with cats, kids and other dogs. Buzz is an alpha male and doesn't do well with another alpha male, but is good with female dogs and submissive males. He is good with kids. Buzz showed up in the parking lot of a salon one day, he thought he needed a haircut, but the salon staff thought he could do without a cut and dry so instead called our rescue to come help with this cute pup. Can you be the home for Buzz where he can get regular baths and blow dry so he doesn't have to wander the streets and find a salon on his own. German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Louisiana if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
