|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-24-00572Sharlee (female)|
Charlee (pronounced Sharlee) is a rare ancient breed call a Sarplaninac Shepherd dog. She is approximately 2yo and 70lbs. She is incredibly intelligent but has a independent thinking mind. She is well behaved in the home, good with kids, men and women. She is in training for dog reactivity and that is only because she came from a death camp in Bosnia where dog survival is crucial living with hundreds of other dogs. She is doing well with her training but she should be in a home with no dogs or other animals. However, if you are willing to give her roughly 6 to 8 weeks, she can become adjusted. She is not an alpha; just fearful of other dogs. Charlee is great in the car, at the vet and on walks. She loves saying hello to other people. She loves to play ball and eat the ball too. She really wants a family to call her own; looking for a person or family that has Shepherd experience. A fenced in yard a must. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-16-00519Emmy (female)|
Sweet Emmy is a shepherd / Feist mix about 1 years old and is the most loving friendly happy girl we have ever met. She was dumped one morning in a parking lot of a park and picked up by one of our partners so she wouldn't get hit by a car. She was frantically going up to the other people and the dogs at the park looking for her family. She loves everyone, she is great with dogs all sizes, she is house trained, she is very smart, she would be good with children and is nothing but a total love bug. She weighs about 45 pounds and is a beautiful brindle mix. She also walks really well on a leash. She is a great family companion and would love nothing more than a new family who will take care of her and love her just as much as she will love them. She loves to be by your side and would need a fenced yard and a dog to play with. Whoever adopts sweet Emmy into their family couldn't be luckier. We are a rescue organization located in Georgia and have weekly transport available for our pups to relocate up north with their new forever families. |Rescue Me ID: 17-02-01-00017Billy (male)|
Billy is a 8 week old Shepherd mix puppy boy. He was surrendered to us today 1/31/17 because shortly after his previous owner had him the owner had a stroke and can't no longer care for him. Billy is a little social butterfly with lots of puppy energy. He enjoys the company of the other dogs and will be available for adoption after Feb 9th. He is of course not housebroken yet because he is still a baby. We estimate him to be about 50 lbs fully grown. We are not sure what type of Shepherd he is mixed with and this website just give us certain default options. We are a rescue organization located in Georgia and have weekly transport available for our pups to relocate up north with their new forever families. Our adopters make their decision to adopt based on pictures, videos and talking to the foster parent. His adoption fee is $ 425 which includes transport cost, 2 rounds of puppy vaccines, deworming, neuter and micro chip DO NOT FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ONLINE. |Rescue Me ID: 16-10-12-00523Phoenix (male)|
Phoenix - 7 years old, 95 lbs, brown and black, Male. Neutered, fully vaccinated, had his annual physical in July. Heartworm/flea and tick care is current. He does require special food for his diet. Always healthy and strong. A beautiful and lovable German Shepherd, who is great with kids and dogs, will make a great addition to any family. He is playful and very affectionate. He would be great with a big yard to run and an involved owner. He is house trained. He is a German Shepherd, so he likes to guard. But it is done playfully. Reluctantly, we have to rehome our German Shepherd. We just want him to have a high quality of life, which we can't provide right now because of attention to our kids with special needs. We require a home visit and interview. The re-home fee is $75. Please contact Brian at 617-821-9107 or firstname.lastname@example.org. (Less)

German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Massachusetts if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
