Rescue Me ID: 15-01-18-00295Jager (male)

German Shepherd    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

I took Jager in as a temporary arrangement for a friend, who has since decided he no longer wants the dog. It was temporary because I live in a one bedroom apartment and work two jobs. Jager has a lot of energy because he doesn't have a lot of space to run and burn it off. He doesn't get along with small dogs or cats. Hes been around kids somewhat but not babies for any great length of time so I am unsure if he is good with them for extended periods of time. Ideally I would like him to go to a home with a yard that he can run around in. He likes to play fetch, belly rubs, is pretty good on a leash (he can be a puller), and will give you paw ... (Read More)for a treat. He needs a good home since I am unable to keep him. He is good with my dog who is a beagle lab mix, but I think the best thing for him would be if he were the only dog because he wants all the attention for himself. He is up to date on all of his shots as far as I know except rabies which is about to expire. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-01-15-00491Mila (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Mila is great dog. She is energetic and loving. She is very food aggressive and must go to a home where she is the only dog. She currently is living with my parents because I have to go away for deployment. She is to much of a liability to my parents other dogs. Mila gets along with other animals, but food triggers her and she becomes extremely aggressive to other dogs and will fight. As stated above Mila has never shown aggression to humans and would never be a threat to children or adults, just other dogs. Mila is my first dog and she is one of our family members, it breaks my heart to have to her leave our family.

Hello there! My name is max. I have a bit of a sad story. My mommy had to give me up because I nipped at someone and bit another. It wasn't a bad bite but enough for mommy to say she was going to have to put me down. One of her friends heard about this and contacted this rescue asking for help. They thankfully saved my life. They accepted me into their program. I am a great boy once I get to know someone. I am leery of new people that is why I MUST go to an experienced adopter. I am 1 1/2 years old. I am a German shepherd/husky mix. I do good with most dogs but kitties and me do not mix well. Blame that on the husky side of me! I am playful ... (Read More)and love to sit and cuddle. I know how to. sit, lay down, shake, stay....so as you can see I am very very smart. when you say go home, I know exactly what to do. That means go into my kennel. Kids I probably should not be placed with. I ride wonderful in the car and get very excited for car rides. I love to go for walks and walk wonderful on the leash. I should go to a home with a fenced in yard. I am a bigger boy who likes to roam an explore. So if you are experienced with a dog like me, and can work on more training with me then I would LOVE to meet you! Max ( Max will be fixed before adoption) (Less)

Ruben is a handsome, easy going, 5 year old Beagle/Shepherd/Chow mix. He was found wandering the streets all alone and is now in need of a new permanent home. It is obvious he belonged to someone at some point, but it is beyond us, why no one would have gone looking for such a great companion. Ruben loves car rides and would love to share in everyday adventures with you. He also enjoys play time that involves any type of ball and at the end of the day would love nothing more than to curl up next to you and enjoy some down time. Please take a moment to get to know this great guy, he is sure to win you over! Wild Dog Rescue is a 501(c)3 ... German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Zeva, a one year old shepherd and labrador mix in need of a patient and loving forever home. Zeva came to rescue with a neglectful past, which she is trying to forget. Because of her past and her age she will benefit most from a home with an experienced dog owner with no small children. Zeva can be a bit shy at first, understandably, but once she knows you are not bad she is a ball of fun and love! She is working on her manners and commands, and knows 'sit' already! She enjoys canine companions but likes to meet them first to decide whether or not they can be friends. If you have a whole in your heart and an emptiness in your home you ... German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This adorable guy is Elmer! He is an 8 year old Basset Hound mix and as you might be able to tell from his pictures, he is super sweet and gentle. He very much enjoys the company of the small dogs here at the rescue, but he still longs for a person of his own to spend his time with. When Elmer first came to rescue he experienced some pain when walking. But after some TLC and medication he is doing much better and he even trots a little when going outside! If you would like a cute buddy to hang out with you and to spend some cuddle with, then Elmer could be your man! This is a very sweet natured older dog who just needs a place to call his ... Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We adopted Titus under false pretenses about his personality around other dogs and children. This boy is a little feisty, but he's very sweet. Unfortunately when he gets too excited he starts mouthing really roughly. I would love to keep him, but he doesn't get along with my dog nor do I feel safe to let him out of the kitchen when my nieces and nephew are over. I would really love to see him go into a home that might be more accommodating to his personality and his rather large stature. Thank you.
