Rescue Me ID: 17-04-04-00324Angel (female)

German Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Spayed

Very loyal and protective of her owners 3 year old female German Shepherd dog looking for a new home. Or otherwise she will be sedated or in other words killed.%A0 Her name is Angel. She is regarded as a dangerous dog according to MN state statute 347.51. She NEVER attacked or was aggressive to people, NEVER. She lives on camping grounds where lots of people come to camp and we are not allowed to keep her there anymore and can't afford to pay all the fees associated with this accident. There was an accident, she attacked other dog. Due to this attack accident she has to be put to sleep in 11 days. She has ONLY 11 days left to live, till ... (Read More)April 15th if no one adopts her.%A0 There are 7 things that the LAW RREQUIRES the owner to do in order to keep this great, super sweet and loving dog alive: 1. You must contain this dog in a proper enclosure and post your property with clearly visible warning signs that there is a dangerous dog. 2. You must insure this dog and provide evidence (document). 3. You must microchip her. 4. You must sterilize her. 5. Angel must wear a collar tag identifying the dog's owner and the fact that the dog is dangerous.%A0 6. You must notify the animal control authority in writing of the death of the dog or its transfer to a new location. 7. You will need to pay $250 filing fee to Crow Wing County. It is not a cheap buy, somewhere around $1000 total for all the 'you must' things. We are not charging anything, you would have to pay somewhere around $1000 to cover these 7 things. She really deserves to live. She is very sweet, loving and loyal dog. She is kind of protective of 'her humans' when other dogs get too close to them. She loves all the freedom she had before the accident. She was free to roam around 120 acres of land of this property and often visited neighbors. Now she is chained and very sad about it. She loves to go to a lake or a stream that are on this property to wash herself often. So she needs to be able to wash herself daily. It is a great loss for us but we don't have any other choices.%A0 PLEASE GIVE HER A SECOND CHANCE. (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Tucker has a great personality, and needs to go to a loving home able to provide him with the stimulation needed to keep his brain working. He is very intelligent and does well with frequent walks. He is a sweetheart and likes to curl up on the couch with anyone that wants to give him attention. He is approximately 70 pounds but thinks he is a lap dog. We do not have children, but he has done well with friends kids and kids saying 'hi' on walks. He must go to a home with no cats or other small animals. We are having to rehome him due to conflicts with our family cat. He has a very strong prey drive for squirrels, rabbits, or other ... He wants to play rough and this can appear to be aggressive to some, and may bark at other dogs on walks. He gets along extremely well with our other family dog. We will miss Tucker greatly as he is such a fun, loving dog. However, the cat has been here for 10 years and takes precedent. (Less)
