Rescue Me ID: 18-04-30-00146Kye (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Kye wants nothing more then to be doing whatever you are. He is a companion dog in every sense of the word. In fact he would prefer to have all of your attention. He is smart and actually wants you to guide/direct him most the time. Here's the type of dog that really wants to make his human happy and takes it hard when he makes a mistake or gets in trouble. He has a dysfunctional past so I am gentle with him and he will continue to need this. Kye would be great for someone who wants to build a really strong, close connection with their dog.

bout Story Organization Other pets Share About HOUSE-TRAINED Yes HEALTH Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered. GOOD IN A HOME WITH Other dogs. Meet Hal ****The website is updated several times daily. Please do not email to ask if there are still dogs/puppies available.**** PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER TO ALL BASIC QUESTIONS BELOW. Please read carefully Before emailing. *Hal (and his siblings whom are already adopted) are quite the group! These kids came from a home that had 30 (yes 30!) puppies that were all about the same age. There were 3 moms that were all lab types. There were 6 different male dogs of various ... (Read More)mixes. There is no way to know if the pups are actually litter mates, or what their exact heritage is beyond being lab mixes. *Hal is 4 months old and currently weighs 34 pounds. He will be a mid-sized dog with a best guess right now of 45-60 pounds. Hal grew up in a foster home with other dogs, and has been living as an only dog for the last 4 weeks. He is back in his original foster home and was glad to see all of his friends again. Hal has never met a cat. He would likely be just fine with proper introductions and training. Hal is at a great age to start taking some obedience or puppy kindergarten type classes. *Each pup is spayed or neutered and current on their vet cares. *We do not hold or reserve dogs. We do not ship or fly. Prospective families must come to NORTHFIELD MN to meet. Aside from monthly adoption events, we do not meet in the Twin Cities* *Emails are answered in the order they are received. We are receiving a large number of emails, so answering promptly is our goal. If you are interested in adoption, your prompt responses are the best way to get through the adoption screening* *Paws First does not accept checks or credit cards. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DENY ADOPTIONS AT ANY POINT IN THE ADOPTION SCREENING PROCESS.* If you have read this far, you are ready to start the adoption process! Please email for the next step, which is a short email interview to get started. (Less)
