Chief is an 8 year old German Shephard with papers. He has recently become slightly agitated in regard to teen boys and adult males. He comes from a very complicated household and has been around small children his whole life. He has taken on a sort of alpha male position and keeps myself and my kids very protected but he is beginning to pose a threat to outsiders. We live in a very small town and the local police department has threatened to shoot him on site if he becomes loose as well as mandate me to have him put to sleep. Looking for a good home for my sweet dog. She's been a wonderful dog but has some issues with allergies and ear infections. My wife and I have two small children at home and it's been a bit much to manage. She is a sweet dog and absolutely wonderful with our children and two cats. She is a big softy. Hello, this is Blitz. He is a Czech breed German Shepherd who loves kids, cats and other dogs. To a fault. He gets excited and nips on occasion. He nipped a neighbor's dog and is now causing friction with the association/neighborhood. He has been a GREAT dog. He is housebroken, doesn't chew, loves to walk and run and play. It breaks our hearts to give him up, but I honestly believe that he is the victim of being 'a scary breed' and that's all. Looking for experienced German Shepherd handler. I took Molly in around age 5 and worked through her abuse and neglect in regards to aggression and fear. She is no longer aggressive, but still has GS anxiety (currently on prozac), in that she paces, and has a unique relationship with her tennis ball. She is a sweet girl, but 'herds' my other dog, and is a predator in regards to the cat. Unfortunately my training skills do not enable me to do much more for her, as well she needs an active owner. She does not run off...I can have her off leash both at the dog park and at home. She is on the small size at under 70lbs. She also suffers from an itchy winter skin condition that the vet hasn't quite figured out. Food allergies are ruled out. My heart is sad to have to go through this process, but I can't put my sadness in front of her needs and hopefully the ability to find a home where she can be worked with and actively stimulated through her issues. Gozer was born 9-3-09. I've had him since he was 7 weeks old. He is aggressive towards strangers and young kids. He takes awhile to warm up to new people. He has tried to bite strangers! We have a one year old and have to keep him and Gozer seperate. He is otherwise a great dog. Loves to cuddle, loves attention. Listens (unless stranger is around) Plays well with cats and some female dogs. He would do best as only dog and no young kids. I will be very careful who adopts him because he is my buddy and I would never find a new home for him if it wasn't a concern of someone getting hurt. Wright County buffalo, MN MAP IT!

German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Minnesota if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
