|Animal ID: 16-LucyLucy (female)|
Lucy was rescued from a high kill shelter in Amarillo, Texas. She is a little submissive and gets along well with most dogs, cats and horses however, she does fancy chickens! She's a bit on the shy side and loves to be handled by a gentle person. She would do best with kids over 10 due to her shyness. She's an average energy dog that is looking to bond with her new special person. She's very human attentive and is known for her moves getting as close to you as possible and then covering you with kisses. She's a sensitive girl who wears her heart on her sleeve. Lucy also has the Shepherd smarts and is considered trainable and versatile. She's eager to please and can hardly wait for a new best friend. (Less)

German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Montana if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
