|Rescue Me ID: 17-01-08-00238Axel (male)|
This is Axel and he is a gem of a dog. He may not be completely deaf, however he does suffer from at least some hearing loss. He is incredibly loving. He does have his more aloof moments but we truly don't believe that he has ever been a loved family member before. He is also in current need of a FOSTER or he will have to go to boarding and that's not going to help.

|Rescue Me ID: 16-12-06-00404Cooper (male)|
Cooper is a 6 month old shepherd hound mix. He is currently about 27 lbs. Cooper LOVES to play and is very active. He has a lot of puppy energy and needs adequate exercise and attention. Cooper was surrendered because he had no boundaries. He would snatch food from the kids and growl if you attempted to take it back. We are working with Cooper to learn to share. He knows sit and we are working on Stay, Leave It and Drop It. He is kennel trained but may have an accident if left over 8 hours. He insists on being a big baby and sleeping with you at night. He is the best snuggler! Perfect for a cold winters night! He also likes to gives kisses and be around his humans. He really has blossomed with structure (set times for meals, play, potty et cetera) and attention. He likes to play with other dogs but can be a hard player. With time and attention Cooper is well on the road to being the best dog he can be. Because he is still a work in progress we recommend no kids under 10. Cooper is microchipped, UTD on shots and is neutered. He is working on potty training and he is learning to ring a bell to be let outdoors. Unfortunately Christmas bells are confusing him on this! If you are interested in Cooper, please fill out an adoption application at www.bassetandbeagle.org (Less)

German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Nebraska if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
