Otto is a very submissive and sweet dog. About 100 pounds. Just vaccinated on Mar 31st, 2016. I have three months of food supplies, toys and cage for him already. I need to move in a couple days and the new place does not allow big dogs. If the owner likes Otto, he or she can have him. If the owner doesn't not like him any more later on, I can take him back in about 3-4 months. A small donation can be made to ease the process.

Rescue Me ID: 16-03-02-00185Oscar (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Email rescuer, Anna, direct at annaduffy@yahoo.com Oscar is in the Reno area. Oscar looks like a little red fox or a mini shepherd. We think his mix is Corgi and Shepherd. He is knee high and weighs about 40/ 45 lbs. Oscar is an excellent work at home buddy. He has settled in now to his foster home and is really starting to become a house dog. Oscar is about 2 years old, neutered and micro-chipped. He spent his first 2 years as an outside dog with little to no training. We are currently teaching him to be a house dog. Oscar will make a great companion for someone that wants an active dog that can take on adventures with exuberance and can ... (Read More)settle in later and be a supportive companion when working from home. With diligent training, Oscar can be anything ...he loves, loves, loves hugs and snuggles. With training, being an emotional support dog could be in his future. He is sharp and intelligent with lots of energy, so could be an agility boy? He will need to be slowly introduced to cats or a home with no cats is good. He gets along well with female dogs and male dogs depending on how "Alpha" they are. Oscar will stand-up for himself, then settle in after a while to the pecking order. I would not suggest households with small toy size dog as he has big feet and he is a mini tank. He will knock over small children too when he gets excited. Oscar has survived a euthanasia date, now he needs to find his forever human(s). Please note, this is not a "free dog" situation. Any potential adopter will need to complete an application, including listing the name of your vet for current/previous animals. A home visit may be required and if you have any pets they must meet Oscar first to make sure the are compatible. A donation to the shelter Oscar was pulled from is required. Additionally, an experienced pet owner that understands this dog needs to be exercised and challenged, is a good fit. Training is a must for Oscar. This will allow him to have a long and happy life with his new family...And yes, he is worth the effort upfront. (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Oscar was rescued from the Delano Animal Shelter in Delano, California. He had a hard euthanasia date. He is currently being fostered. Oscar looks like a mini shepherd or like a red fox. We think his mix is Corgi and Shepherd, best guess. He is knee high and weighs about 40lbs. Oscar is an excellent snuggle buddy. He has settled in now to his foster home and is quickly learning to become a house dog. Oscar is about 2 years old, neutered, micro-chipped and crate trained. He spent his first 2 years as an outside dog with little to no training, now he knows how to stand by the sliding door when he needs to go out and do his business. Oscar will ... (Read More)make a great companion for someone that wants an active dog that can take on adventures with exuberance, and then settle in later. Hiking, jogging, tossing a ball, he is your guy. He is sharp and intelligent, with lots of energy but also has the ability to be calm and gentle too, if the household is calm and quiet. He will need to be slowly introduced to cats or a home with no cats is good. He gets along well with female dogs, or as an only dog, male dogs need a slower introduction... depending on how 'Alpha' they are. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Aggressive

He is 4 1/2 year old German Shepherd Chow mix. We don't have enough time for him to take him out nor train him. We took him from a guy who got deployed because the dog is very protective of its owner he would be very aggressive to other people and dogs. They told him they would euthanize him just because how protective the dog is. They have told us the same but we are in a time line I leave to military training on June 9. We need to find him a home or a rescue that can take him because only choice we have is to take him to the kill shelter. We asked other rescues and they are full please help he has potential to be the best dog and to be in ... (Read More)a better family household. He is neutered and is current on shots. (Less)
