    Maximus was left to die one rainy night at the home of a rescuer. She heard the commotion from her own dogs and went out doors and found this cold, wet, hungry boy in a crate on her porch. Immediately she took him in and took care of his needs. He is such a sweetie but still shy, so he would do best with an adult family with older children who will understand the meaning of 'HANDLE WITH CARE' His foster Mom & Dad, plus his adoptive family (their dogs) have taken him under their wing.     Cochise is a 2 year old German Shepherd/Lab mix who was found wearing a flea collar. He was not claimed while at Animal Control so it is now time to find him a loving, and safe forever home. All the ladies at the vet's office said he is a real 'cutie pie'. He is 35 pounds, neutered, HW negative, and current on shots. Cochise loves to have belly rubs, go hiking with a family and just hang out and be your pal forever.     German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in New Hampshire if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
