I have black and white and tan markings and a super soft shiny coat, and I my nose and feet are just a growing. My foster mommy has had me spayed and has me up to date on all my shots and flea/tick/heartworm preventions. So I am in tip top healthy shape! I weigh about 30 pounds now and will be a big girl when I grow up and probably weigh 60-70 pounds. I can't wait to find a family to grow up with! I love to play play play! I have just the right amount of energy and am active girl that loves to make new friends everywhere I go. I love to give kisses and ... (Read More)am so excited to see my foster mommy when she gets home to play with me. I love running and playing in the yard with her, and boy when she throws the ball or Frisbee or rope for me, it's the best part of my day. But oh boy, once you rub my ears and belly, I have to sit real still and enjoy it cause that's the second best part of my day when I get rubs and get to relax! I am still a little pup but am doing great on my house training and crate training. I am looking for my forever family to give me a loving and fun home. I won't disappoint! She is currently located at our sister shelter down south and available through our Pre-adoption program! She can't wait to come to NJ and find her forever home!! (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Personality: Very High Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Bo! This handsome little man is a 1 year old male German Shepherd Lab mix. Please note tat he is smaller then your average Shepherd as he only weights 4lbs. Bo is a special needs pup in the sense that he only has one eye. Bo was found wondering the side of the road with a severe eye injury. This injury was so bad that when they rescued him they had to remove his eye immediately. Don't let him fool you though, his disability doesn't slow him down in the slightest! He is a little timid at first, and we are pretty certain that he was abused. Within minutes of meeting someone he warms right up. After that he is super friendly and ... (Read More)loves just about everyone and everything he meets. Although he doesn't mind children, due to his disability, we are not looking to place him in a home with young kids. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He never turns down a good belly rub. He loves to play and is full of puppy energy. He would make a great addition to a family with an active lifestyle who is willing to be patient as he acclimates to his new environment. He is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. He can't wait to find his forever home! (Less)

Dulce is a sweet angel! She loves children, she is passive and gentle. She is house broken, sheds minimally and knows commands. She walks well on a leash and is dog friendly. She isn't a barker but she is a lover!! Her owners dumped her on the side of a rural road. This poor baby waited for days for them to return. The neighbors would feed her and put water out but she wouldn't come to them. Finally a little girl was able to get her close enough to be leashed. Off to animal control she went. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is Colbey Colbey is a happy, playful puppy about 12-14 weeks old and weighs about 19-20 pounds. Colbey is a Coconut Retreiver and he was rescued from St Maarten. St Maarten is a beautiful island, but life can be difficult for dogs. Fresh water is hard to find as well as food. FHDR heard about Colbey and we were able to transport him to the US to live in a faoster home until adopted. Colbey's beautiful markings on his face match his perfect personality! This what his foster mom says about him %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD|.'Colbey is a very friendly puppy! He is curious, adventurous, and enjoys ... (Read More)exploring outside. Colbey's cute floppy ears stick to the side of his head like a rocket/jet when he runs. It'll go from pure floppiness to them pressed to the side of his head almost immediately. It's as if he wants less wind resistance so he can run faster haha! It's so cute! Colbey is house trained--amazing for a little boy his age. He has purpose when outside and he knows exactly where to go and what to do. Colbey really likes all the natural chews%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD|.antlers, bully sticks, and hooves. There are times when I wonder what he could be doing when it suddenly gets quiet, and when I go find him, he is tucked up in a ball or completely stretched out on his favorite blanket. Colbey spends his days having fun, playing and running around with my dog. When we are all outside, he will just sit and watch all the people and cars go by. Everyone that meets Colbey falls in love with his sweet face and great personality-- they all want to take him home! He is good natured and easygoing and would be a great addition to any home!' If you have a furever home for this pup, please email us at FHDR@att.net for an adoption application. To see more photos or to see Furever Home Dog Rescue's other rescue pups up for adoption, go to www.fhdr.petfinder.com Please note Furever Home Dog Rescue does not adopt puppies/dogs to homes where they will be alone all day. German Shepherd    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current

Flower came to Sedona Shepherd with medical needs that needed to be immediately addressed. She was found as a stray and was at risk of being euthanized at a shelter in southern New Jersey. During our vet examination, Flower was diagnosed with Lyme disease and perianal fistula. The latter was causing her significant discomfort and made her very sensitive to handling in her hind area. The Lyme disease also caused her to have soreness in her joints. Thanks to the staff at Fanwood Animal Hospital, Flower is now on medication for both issues and starting to heal and slowly become more comfortable with handling. We estimate Flower to be ... (Read More)about 7 years old and a full German Shepherd, even with the cute floppy ear. Flower is good with other dogs, and her brief introduction to cats was uneventful, so we believe she could be fine in a household with many other animals. We are looking for an experienced German Shepherd handler to foster Flower while she is going through her treatments. Because of her sensitivity, at this time she would be best in a home with no children. If you are interested in helping Flower by Fostering her or donating to help offset her medical bills, please shoot us a request for more information at contact@sedonashepherd.com or fill out an adoption application form, which is the same as our foster form.     Beautiful, sweet, well behaved, gorgeous Buffy is a white, female, shepherd/pointer mix dog with brown spots on her ears and very pale brown spots on her fur. She is a very unique looking dog. Buffy is 2 years old, 43 pounds, housebroken, utd on her vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped and HW negative. She knows how to sit and will do so when asked. German Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Kody's back-story is one that only he knows. He was found as a stray, timid and scared and was brought into the Cumberland County Shelter in March. The shelter staff worked with him regularly to learn more about his personality. He slowly came out of his shell and its clear that this boy just wants to be loved. Kody can be cautious of new environments and new people and it will take him some time to warm up to you. He is VERY quick to bond and warms up to men quicker than he does to women. While at the shelter, he formed bonds with several of the male workers there. He would play with them, roll over for belly rubs and give paw. Kody also ... German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Rosanne is 2-3 years old and 48 pounds. When Rosanne first arrived, she had an odd walk/waddle so we took her to the vet for an evaluation & Xrays. The vet's finding was that Rosanne has significant arthritis on her back especially at the L5L6 area and that this was probably due to an injury or trauma in her past. There is no surgery to do for this and his recommendation was to keep her lean and strong with moderate exercise and to give her fish oil and Cosequin (glucosamine/chondrotin).
