Animal ID: WGSRmvm082615Memphis von Menslo (male)

German Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi everybody! I'm a very striking and well-mannered 5 year old white German Shepherd that can turn heads wherever I go. Whether I'm strolling through the neighborhood or waiting in line for a hot dog at a local stand, people are awed by my general good looks, smiley face, and easy personality. I'm pretty disappointed at losing my forever home recently. I loved my human family, especially my little human children. I just don't get what happened to me. I don't belong in a loud, scary kennel. I'm too cool for that kind of life! I'm a very sweet, loving boy that wants to be with my humans. That's all I need. I'll hang out in the doggie play ... (Read More)yard for a little while, but then I want to leave and go find human companionship. I'm a medium-to-medium high-energy boy, housebroken and familiar with basic commands. I need an owner who will use positive reinforcement training to teach me new things including a little basic leash work. (I kind of get excited on my walks with my peeps, and can't help but tug a little at first.) I have to tell you'| I really hate to be alone. I'm not the kind of guy that wants to be left alone in the back yard either. I get bored out there, and I can't help but try to jump out so I can go see my family. My humans need to stay close. Once I feel secure and part of the family, I will be the best friend and protector you've ever had. So please give me a chance to prove to you how much I want to be your white shepherd in shining armor. (I'm currently in Los Angeles, but Great NW German Shepherd Rescue will pay for my transport up the I-5 corridor into Oregon and Washington.) (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-07-16-00623Atia (female)

German Shepherd    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations, Blind,
 Seizures, Incontinent

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] [Read About Natural Seizure Care] Atia is a purebred German Shepherd around 6 years of age. She is a wonderful dog, very obedient, loving, good with children, and house trained. A co-worker of mine purchased Atia and her brother from a breeder in Washington. I received Atia about 8 months later as the pups were not getting along very well together. Sadly both dogs developed Pannus in their eyes which has required constant care. Atia's vision is impaired, however I think she can see shapes based on her movements. Her peripheral vision is mostly where I see her struggle. She does not appear to be in any ... (Read More)discomfort however. Atia has been an inside dog her entire life and besides an occasional accident which I attribute to incontinence (she always does it in her sleep) she does all of her business outdoors. About a year ago she began having an occasional seizure. Currently she experiences 1-2 seizures per quarter. I was advised by her vet that once she went on anti-seizure medicine she would never be able to come off, so I have not placed her on anything for them. The reason I am seeking a new home for Atia is simply because she is an amazing animal and we are unable to care for her in the way that she deserves. She is an excellent guard dog, friendly companion, and has been a wonderful friend, but with 2 young children and a busy work schedule we are not able to devote any time to her. If you have any questions about her, or would like to see more pictures, please let me know. I hope to find her a loving, safe home for the rest of her days. Thanks, The Delerys (Less)
