Rescue Me ID: 15-01-27-00385'Jagger' the Sweetie (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs
Personality: Very High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This adorable 11 month old German Shepherd Mix puppy is very healthy, neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and very well behaved. He is already a big boy, weighing 75 to 80 pounds. He has a black, tan and brindle coat. Jagger is as sweet a dog as you will ever meet. He is super smart, and loves people very much. He is so much fun, too. He loves to play tricks on his humans, like hiding in the bushes and 'popping out' when you least expect it. He loves to destroy his stuffed toys, chase squirrels and leaves in the back yard, and just basically revel in doggish delights. His current owners are heartbroken that they have to find Jagger ... (Read More)a new home. Unfortunately, Jagger and their first dog have begun showing aggression towards one another, and it has become necessary to separate them. The owners are hoping to find Jagger a loving, forever home with a family who are looking for just one dog to adore. If you would like to offer Jagger a home, and have the time, environment and resources to meet the needs of this big, energetic and playful boy, please fill out our online application form at http://petprosservices.com/adopt/. There is a $75 adoption/rehoming fee, and supplies will be included with Jagger. If you have any questions about Jagger, please feel free to call Mark toll-free at 888-9-PETS4U. Sex of Pet Male Age of Pet 11 months Size/Weight (if Dog) 65-70 pounds Pet's Color and Coat Type Tan/black brindle Spayed/Neutered? Yes Up to date on vaccinations? Yes Does this pet get along with cats? Unknown Does this pet get along with dogs? No Does Your Pet Have Any Health Problems? No If yes, please provide details: No permanent health issues. Does have injured leg currently. But not a serious injury and healing up well. Please Describe Your Pet's Personality Jagger is a sweet, energetic boy. He loves to play in the yard and chase squirrels, or birds, or even leaves. What is your home environment like? We have a casual home where the dogs are allowed to lay on the furniture, beds etc. They also have free reign of our acre yard. Please Tell Us A Little About Your Family: We are a family of four. My children are 17 and 15. We are an active family, constantly in and out of the house. The dogs are used to people coming in and out and being left for a few hours at a time. What are your pet's favorite toys, foods, activities? He loves any toy with stuffing, although they don't last long. He likes to tear the stuffing out of them. He loves to be outside and play in the yard. Also loves to take walks on a leash and walks well on a leash. He also just loves to snuggle and lay with you. If possible, please tell us a funny, cute or heartwarming story about your pet. He absolutely loves to run in and out of the bushes in our front yard. He will run behind them and hide, then wait for someone to walk by so he can jump out. Too cute! For What Reason(s) are you needing to rehome your pet? Unfortunately, he has begun to not get along with our other dog. They have been together for several months now, but recently is dog has become aggressive with the other one. We have tried to work the situation out, but have reached the pint that we feel rehoming Jagger is the only option for the safety, wellness, and happiness of both dogs. He is neutered and microchipped. Please describe what you are looking for in an adoptive family/home for your pet: Someone that will make him a loved pet in their home. We are devastated by having to give him up and want to be sure he will be loved and cherished in his new home. What supplies and accessories will come with your pet? Bowls, leash, collar, toys, food, and any other items I can come up with. We just want him to be happy and loved. Do you hope or intend to stay in touch with your pet in it's new home? Yes Additional Comments or Information We are so distraught over having to get rid of this dog. We really just want him to have a good home. (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Beautiful Vienna! She has the most beautiful blond hair and golden eyes! Vienna is an energetic, fun-filled, fast-paced girl that loves to run, jog and wrestle with the other dogs... no matter the size. With all of her go-go-go, she will still stop to lean against you for some petting and take treats gently from your fingers. She's still very young... only about 8-10mo old, and currently weighs about 40-45lbs. She'll thrive in an athletically active home that will take her on lots of outdoor activities... and one that will continue training with her. She's very smart and picks up things quickly... but she also has a bit of a wild-child ... (Read More)side so she needs a person that will take the reigns to help her continue to develop into the wonderful girl she's becoming. Vienna should have another dog in the home... or at least lots of doggy play dates. She must have a wooden fenced backyard because if she is in the backyard and hears her people in the front, she will go over a 6ft chain link fence to join them. She's a goofy, beautiful, energetic, very smart girl that will be a wonderful addition to a very lucky home! (Less)

My name is Farrah and this is really hard for me to talk about. First this picture is not the real me...I mean it is me but I am not sure what the heck happened or how I got here. I had a family, a pretty nice family or at least that's what I thought. We went for a ride and the next thing you know I am here...I am not sure what happened but honestly it broke my heart. I am a sweet gal, I like my people and get along with most everybody. I am sure there are some folks here and there or dogs that I am not great with, but honestly I just want love and attention. I have a lot of love to give...my life is not over yet..I am about 4/5 and ... (Read More)really just want to chill. I love to walk and be outside and pretty much do anything you do. I am not a super large girl, I mean I could probably stand to lose a few pounds, I guess you would say my ideal weight is about 50 pounds and I mean need to look into Jenny Craig or something and lose 5 or so. I am a bit of a comedian as I like to make people laugh and it is said that I am a joy to be around. TAKE A LOOK AT MY VIDEO!!! :) I was being fostered by these rescue ladies' vet, cause Dr E likes to help but I am in Washington state now and ready for my own home...ask for more pics and the nice ladies will send you some. I hope you will consider a 'Cougar' in your life...I am worth the effort! Just so you know the office staff at Dr E's office say I rock!! I get along with all dogs, they let dogs roam the clinic and I did great with everyone. ...there are children also there everyday, 10 mths, 4 and 6 and I do great. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Foxx is a 4 yr old, 51 lb male Shepherd and Great Dane Mix. Foxx was found abandoned near death in a shopping center parking lot. With many months of TLC and rehab, he has turned out to be a very happy, friendly and athletic companion dog. Foxx is a confident and dominant dog that is pure muscle. He is crate trained and knows some basic obedience. He loves walks, car rides and chewing on his bones. He loves to hang out wherever his human is. He does prefer women over men. He did show signs of abuse in his past. Foxx will do well with a confident middle aged active couple or active individual as an only dog. He will need a fenced in yard or a ... (Read More)ranch where he can stretch his legs and then come back into the house to hang with out with you. He will also require some obedience training especially so that you ensure he does not dominate you as the adopter and continue with his leash training. He does have a slight disability, but it does not prevent him from being a normal and active dog. In fact, daily walks and swims will keep him strong and athletic. The vet seems to think that Foxx either had distemper when I was a puppy, had a bad reaction to a distemper shot or was abused which has caused some muscle loss in one of his shoulders which also causes some muscle twitch. He is in San Antonio but can be transported to Washington/Oregon on the next transport which leaves Oct 23 arriving in WA Oct 25th Please look at our website for more information about who we are and what we do, www.godsdogsrescue.weebly.com or www.yourtxrescueconnection.org (still building) Thank you for wanting to adopt a rescued dog!! Rescue Me ID: 14-12-18-00254DENVER (male)

German Shepherd    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Hip Dysplasia

11 years ago my dad bought me from a breeder. He was so happy that my hips were guaranteed he said. Well, the other day I heard him talking to this man and he said that the breeder lied and that my hips were no good. He then opened the front gate and kicked me out onto the street. I wandered down the street and got picked up by that dog catcher guy! He took me to the Humane Society where I stayed for one month. I kept looking for my dad to come get me but he never did. Finally a nice man came and took me out of that noisy place. He took me to a nice lady's house and that's where I am....waiting for my dad to pick me up. I keep ... (Read More)looking everywhere for him but I can't find him. this nice lady says that I just need a kind person that loves old dogs to offer me a soft place to lay my head. ...and someone to take me to the vet when I need it. She says that German Shepherds are so sensitive and are loyal to a fault which makes it very difficult to separate from a long time owner. She says I am a nice boy but that my dad should have got me 'fixed' for my own health. She says now that I am 11 it is going to be tough on me. She loves me and rubs my head which I like. She gives me some pills two times a day and then my back feels better. I like it here because I get good food to eat. I didn't always get any food at my Dad's house, and he didn't let me sleep in the house like I do here. But I still love him and wish he would come take me home. IF you have a place in your home and heart for a wonderful old, loyal and sweet boy contact me. He is going to the vet tomorrow to see if it is possible to neuter him at this late date without risking his life. He needs a quiet place where he can enjoy the remainder of his life in comfort.; a place without a lot of energetic dogs. The Humane Society said that he is good with other dogs and cats. He is here at my home with four smaller dogs; three males and one female. He gets along great with them all even though one of the small males is very aggressive towards him; he does not retaliate; just turns the other way. Even though Denver has a wobbly hind end he gets around just fine with the help of some Rimadyl twice daily. He is protective of his home and people. He would be great for a single woman or man. He loves to go on walks and can't get enough to eat. He weighs 86 lbs and is a purebred very beautiful large black and tan German Shepherd. At his age I think a quiet, calm home is best without a lot of children visiting. My observations since he has been in my home is that he is very sweet and loving. But, I do not have children here. As a senior he is hard of hearing; seems to respond to loud high pitched sounds best. He would be a great watch dog as just his presence makes a statement;he is big and imposing. He has been introduced to visitors and he initially barked but then accepted them in a matter of minutes. Denver went to the vet yesterday. He said either hip dysplasia or spine problems. He will have to do blood tests before he is neutered. He also will need some baseline X-rays. He is taking a series of four weekly shots to bolster his joints. He also is taking glucosomine and condroitin for dogs as well as rimydil 150 mg daily. He now weighs 86 lbs. A month ago when he was picked up on the street he weighed 62 lbs! The vet says he is the perfect weight now. I am hoping that Denvers new owner can help with these vet expenses. Unlike his previous owner WE believe that Denver is worth every penny, worth every minute we spend on him, worth being loved beyond measure. Denver will need a fenced yard and loves to follow his person around the house all day..sometimes stepping on toes! His house training is going well. He has had only two accidents in the past two weeks. You will need to continue his training. He is not destructive when left in the house alone. He likes to sleep in a doggie tent that I had set up for the little guys. Denver is a beautiful, sweet, loving boy with little licks for everyone....even the vet! He is up to date on all vaccines. Please request an application on Denver. I require two non family references, a vet reference, and if possible I will do a home visit. (Less)

Darling Brice! This 2yr old boy is incredibly sweet natured, affectionate and gets along great with people he meets outside the home. When in the home, he feels the need to protect so he must have an experienced handler to help him understand that he does not always need to guard the home but instead can just relax. He really is a gentle boy that loves affection... and LOVES to run and play with the other dogs. He's very smart and learns very quickly... except he gets so excited when meeting new people he still jumps up to greet - but he's getting there! Even though he loves children, he does feel the need to protect and guard them so ... (Read More)to help him feel more at ease, no children in the home is best. He'll thrive in an active home that will take him on long walks, jogs and hikes... and that has a large yard in which he can run and stretch his legs. An active, athletic and assertive person or couple would be ideal for Brice! (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Dogs, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Cato... big, bold and beautiful! Cato is about 2-3ish yrs old and weighs about 70lbs. He's a wonderfully sweet boy that is also somewhat of a typical shepherd - friendly and playful... then a bit aloof while he completes his periodic perimeter check of the yard. Then he's back again to play fetch or lean against you while you give him a good body rub. He loves to run and is very athletic so a home with a runner/jogger/hiker will be ideal. He also loves to go on long walks and car rides. He a very outdoorsy kind of guy so he must have a fenced backyard in which to play and lounge. Cato is also a very quiet boy that is quite ... (Read More)observant of his surroundings so he'll make his family feel very safe. Cato loves people but because of his size, children must be over 14yrs old. He's not great with other animals so no dogs, cats or critters for this boy. He's had a great foundation of professional training so he's also a polite, obedient boy that just needs an assertive, large breed/shepherd experienced home. He's fully house and crate trained and can be left home alone for a reasonable amount of hours each day. (Less)
