German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Looking for the perfect hiking and jogging buddy? Want a new best friend??? Meet Mako!! Playful, affectionate and VERY smart, Mako is a stunning medium sized Shepherd and Husky Mix who loves everyone and every dog he meets. At just two years old and about 45 lbs, he has lots of life and love yet to give. Mako adores other dogs and is great at the dog park and would make a terrific addition to an active family with another dog. He does get anxious left alone inside however, so a fenced yard or kennel is a must, and ideally a family with another dog if at all possible. He likes children but can be a little strong willed, so no children under ... (Read More)teenage please. He has never been around cats, but the breed combo can have a prey drive. Mako is very smart and loving and will do best with an active family or couple who understands the Northern breeds and their extreme loyalty and intelligence. He even knows basic obedience as you can see in the video! Mako is available for meet and greets near Seatte with an approved application. Adoption fee $175 (Less)

You aren't going to believe Shadow's story! You will have to hear it again from Mr. Haskell, her current care giver! 509-935-6571. A year ago, she was found with a broken hip, broken jaw, and stab wounds to her chest and throat! She had been nursing pups, but there were no pups in sight! She had over $800 worth of repairs, and is now healthy and ready to go to a new home. She has been living with elderly grand parents, a twenty-something couple, and a child under 6. She is great! She is house trained, uses a doggie door, and walks on a leash. Shadow IS a good watch dog, too. She does bark at strangers, but warms up pretty quickly, ... German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Hi! My name is Rudy and I am a Rottweiler pup looking for a home of my own. I have had a pretty rough start in life, but I am on the road to recovery thanks to the kind people at Valhalla Canine Rescue. I mention my rough start in life because it is important for potential adopters to understand that I am the subject of an ongoing animal cruelty investigation. This means that anyone interested in adopting me will need to agree to take me to any court actions or events I need to be present for. I am just a puppy still, so the best home for me would be one that is willing to continue my training, and help me understand how to behave in a ... (Read More)family environment. I love all people, dogs, and children. I would benefit from being with an active family that will appropriately continue actively socializing me with children, dogs, and other animals. I am house trained, crate trained, micro-chipped, up to date on all my vaccinations, and will be neutered before I go to my forever home. My adoption fee is $275. If you think you might have the right home for me, please visit the Valhalla Canine Rescue website at http://www.valhallarescue.org/ourdogs/adoptable/ and fill out an adoption application. My adoption fee allows Valhalla Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs like me while we look for our forever homes. This fee also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the shelter, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes.     Hi! My name is Girlie and I am a Shepherd mix looking for my forever home. Could that home be with you? I'm currently at the Rescue, and will be moving into my foster home very soon. I am a very sweet dog, but my living situation recently changed unexpectedly, and that makes me a little nervous. I get along with most people, though I'm a little bit wary of strangers when I first meet them. I do well with other dogs, but definitely need to be in a home that does not have cats since I like to chase them. I am spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on all my vaccinations. Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

George would love to be in a moderately active home with an older female dog his size. He's become buddies with Chester here and if they were adopted together, that would be fantastic. George is pretty camera shy as you can see but that's because he's so busy running around. You'd never guess his age if you met him! He's a sweet healthy boy looking for a home of his own.

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Not Good with Cats
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Please help Walter! This wonderful, 6-7yr young, 70ish lb shepherd boy should not be in a shelter (from which he was rescued after his previous owners abandoned him), nor in a rescue environment! At his mature age... yet still energetic and quite playful... he should be relaxing in his own home, on his own cushy bed. He has a very easy going personality and he loves to hang out with the medium and large female dogs. He's also very inquisitive so loves to go on long walks and hikes. Walter must have a securely fenced backyard... preferably wood and no cats for this boy.

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Darling Brice! This 2yr old boy is incredibly sweet natured, affectionate and gets along great with people he meets outside the home. When in the home, he feels the need to protect so he must have an experienced handler to help him understand that he does not always need to guard the home but instead can just relax. He really is a gentle boy that loves affection... and LOVES to run and play with the other dogs. He's very smart and learns very quickly... except he gets so excited when meeting new people he still jumps up to greet - but he's getting there! Even though he loves children, he does feel the need to protect and guard them ... (Read More)(even from their parents) so to help him feel more at ease, no children in the home is best. He'll thrive in an active home that will take him on long walks, jogs and hikes... and that has a large yard in which he can run and stretch his legs. An active, athletic and assertive person or couple would be ideal for Brice! (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Cato... big, bold and beautiful! Cato is about 2-3ish yrs old and weighs about 70lbs. He's a wonderfully sweet boy that is also somewhat of a typical shepherd - friendly and playful... then a bit aloof while he completes his periodic perimeter check of the yard. Then he's back again to play fetch or lean against you while you give him a good body rub. He loves to run and is very athletic so a home with a runner/jogger/hiker will be ideal. He also loves to go on long walks and car rides. He a very outdoorsy kind of guy so he must have a fenced backyard in which to play and lounge. Cato is also a very quiet boy that is quite ... (Read More)observant of his surroundings so he'll make his family feel very safe. Cato loves people but because of his size, children must be over 14yrs old. He's not great with other animals so no dogs, cats or critters for this boy. He's had a great foundation of professional training so he's also a polite, obedient boy that just needs an assertive, large breed/shepherd experienced home. He's fully house and crate trained and can be left home alone for a reasonable number of hours each day. (Less)
