Rescue Me ID: 17-12-11-00127Valero (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

The following are some of the comments my foster angel Mum has sent about me: 'Valero is a complete and total sweetheart. While most of the time he has a calm and gentle demeanour, he can also be a bit of a spitfire when it comes time to play. He really just wants to spend time with his human and dog pack. That is definitely his life's highest goal'. 'He is ok with some cats, others are for chasing. He loves all dogs, but some may have a problem with him. While he definitely understands socialization with humans, he can really miss the ball when it comes to other dogs. Other dogs can be sure to let him know he is the biggest dork they have ... (Read More)ever met!' 'His bestfriend Benny is probably the first dog friend he has ever had in his life, and he is super duper attached. I suspect that he spent quite a bit of time alone', 'With the use of his favourite treats he has learned: not to jump up on people, to sit for treats, affection and food, and in general, how to understand and respect personal boundaries' 'He has an incredibly calming and soothing presence, he just really wants to be around his person/people.' 'He is always up for a leashed adventure and he enjoys retrieving balls, rope and just about any toy - but only for a few minutes at a time' 'When he sits for attention and you put your arms around him he just turns into warm butter'. 'He is very potty trained now (thank you fancy meat treats for providing incentive) but he should be crated when no one is home. He does very well when he goes out in public and enjoys making new friends everywhere he goes'. 'Valero still needs some training but that is ok because you can teach him what you want him to know and he is a speedy learner' 'He is a really sensitive guy and he responds very well to positive reinforcement. He is also incredibly endearing. It is impossible not to love him if you have spent any time with him. Valero is an excellent little dog' - Valero's foster Mom Doesn't this guy sound amazing? We don't usually just quote the foster directly, but when the foster gives us so much information and clearly loves the dog - it just seems right. They know the dog better than anyone. (Less)

German Shepherd    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Tiva's family finds it necessary to re-home her due to a serious change in their medical condition. She needs a yard where she can run freely to help her work off her high energy. She is house trained, is afraid of fireworks and does not get along with other animals because she has been an only pet. She has had obedience training but needs a strong lead companion to enforce the rules she's learned. She is absolutely beautiful and devoted to her humans. Please help this family.

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We found Max dumped in the woods in May. We got him cleaned up, neutered, fully vacinated and microchipped. Unfortunately we are not able to get him to stop nipping. We believe he is Shepherd mixed with border collie or lab. He wants to herd the kids and nips at sleeves to get your attention. He is very loving and smart and would do well with the right family. At first he was very anxious but seems to have gotten past that. He is not a fan of loud noises like the vacuum and he will retreat to his crate to escape the noise. He sleeps in the crate at night and is free roam of the house during the day but he loves to be outside on walls or just ... German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi - I'm Tanner. I'm a very sad, 3-year-old red shepherd-boxer mix with beautiful eyes, who was saved from a shelter in California. I am a wonderful dog who needs a home. 'I was in a foster-to-adopt home and was doing great, until my fosters moved to a new home and confined me to the kitchen, and I didn't adjust well. So for now, I'm back in a kennel, waiting patiently for a second chance. I would love a couple or person who makes me their world, someone who can take me for walks, hikes, or someone who will simply hang out with me. I've waited for so long for a forever home. Can you foster or adopt me?

Rescue Me ID: 17-11-09-00520Yolanda (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Yolanda is a very sweet and affectionate girl who loves to hang out with her humans, and to play nicely with other dogs both big and small. She especially loves playing outside and exploring, and going for walks. She is housebroken and is quickly learning about how to behave indoors (her foster home in Olympia, WA is the first time she's ever lived inside). We call her a German Shepherd mix, maybe she has a bit of Catahoula? Hard to say! She is approximately 5.5-6 months of age. She weighs approx. 45/50 pounds and she is not completely full grown yet. Yolanda is learning about car rides and the joys of getting dog treats from drive ... (Read More)through espresso stands and pet stores. She is also discovering what cats are and demonstrating great progress with her fosters' cat. We recommend a family who has a dog savvy cat and/or knows how to continue her training to live harmoniously with a cat(s). Yolanda and her two sibling sisters were found abandoned, terrified, and very skinny by a Texas roadside and brought to God Dogs Rescue in San Antonio, TX where a few months of TLC gave them the chance for a new beginning. Her sisters have been adopted into great NW homes and now it's Yolanda's turn to find her forever home. Her adoption fee of $450 includes her spay, shots, microchipping, deworming, all medical to get her healthy and doing wonderful, health certificate seeing the vet again just prior to leaving TX and transportation to her foster home in Olympia, WA from SA, TX. She is now ready for adoption in Olympia, WA. Please email us for an application and once approved, you can meet this sweet girl and adopt her. Thank you.     Pongo is a one year old Akita/shephard mix. He weighs about 65 pounds. He needs lots of exercise and he will need obedience training. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

I usually go by Charles, but seems everyone wants to call me Charlie. I'm fine with that if it means people pay me attention! Though they tell me I am German Shepherd, I'm pretty sure it's not much because I'm pretty small coming in at only 40-45lbs. Now don't let that smallness fool you, I will keep you safe by letting you know when people arrive, though I will be the first in line for cuddles and love because I LOVE people. If you are people, simple... it means I love you! I like dogs and cats and little people and big people and walking nicely by your side, and of course - food! I love being with my foster Mom but I heard you can ... (Read More)adopt your own humans, so I am really looking for a forever human to adopt. I've told you a little about me, and my requirements for my human are pretty simple; love me and treat me like your baby and I will not ever give you up to a shelter -PROMISE! (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My name is SUZI Q. I am young, energetic and particularly cute. I need to find a special person who will foster or adopt me, as I cannot stay at the municipal shelter much longer. I have a tendency to protect my family, so a household which is very busy with people coming and going may be overwhelming for me. Best if only animal in home. I can relax and be calm in a quieter environment. I have had some training and I enjoy the challenge of learning new behaviors, since I am a smart dog. I am extremely loyal and affectionate . . . can someone please help me to make a fresh start?
