Rescue Me ID: 18-05-07-00499Angel (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Angel's Background story: She saw her mom get hit by a car and die, then processed to stay by the decaying carcass until a good samaritan stopped and tried to help but couldn't catch the pup. Which then lead to calling Helotes Humane Society & L&S Dog Diggity Rescue down in Texas. They ended up moving the carcass to a nearby ranch and trapped the pup. Eventually she was adopted to a woman with disabilities. She was supposed to train the animal to go into service, however that didn't really happen and was eventually relinquished. Condition when received: She had an UTI (urinary tract infection). UTI was also making her not want to eat. ... (Read More)Her nails were over grown; anal glands clogged, and only weighed 43lbs for a large dog (emaciated). Current condition: She has been treated for a UTI, She has had nails clipped, anal glands squeezed. She is eating again and gaining weight slowly. Current Diet: Orijen/raw Exercise: She needs 30 min DAILY exercise, year round. She loves to run, and occasionally I will strap on my roller blades or hook her to the bike and make her run. After that, the rest of the day she is super chill - lazy bones. So if you can't provide this, you will need to get a dog walker. Personality: She is a sweet soul and loves humans big and small, old and young; she is more than willing to show you her belly for pets (Omega). She can be a talker when she needs something and if you won't pay attention. I like having conversations with her, so cute & funny. She does well in the car; I make her sit in the back because she is so large. She does have a little leash aggression because she hasn't had a strong Alpha or any proper training (insecure). She has been working on this and getting better but will still need to work on this. She is very smart, sensitive and she is working bred dog mix, which means she needs proper training, experienced dog owner, and a job to be happy. Other animals: No Cats, and she does not likes all dogs especially aggressive or ill mannered dogs. If given the chance she will chase my chickens. Good at catching rats and moles. Commands: Sit, Lay, down, leave it, cross, up, walk, potty, walk, car, back, bed, back, inside, kennel and stay. However she may not do these for you at first because she doesn't know you, so give her time to get used to the new environment. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

The following are some of the comments my foster angel Mum has sent about me: 'Valero is a complete and total sweetheart. While most of the time he has a calm and gentle demeanour, he can also be a bit of a spitfire when it comes time to play. He really just wants to spend time with his human and dog pack. That is definitely his life's highest goal'. 'He is ok with some cats, others are for chasing. He loves all dogs, but some may have a problem with him. While he definitely understands socialization with humans, he can really miss the ball when it comes to other dogs. Other dogs can be sure to let him know he is the biggest dork they have ... (Read More)ever met!' 'His bestfriend Benny is probably the first dog friend he has ever had in his life, and he is super duper attached. I suspect that he spent quite a bit of time alone', 'With the use of his favourite treats he has learned: not to jump up on people, to sit for treats, affection and food, and in general, how to understand and respect personal boundaries' 'He has an incredibly calming and soothing presence, he just really wants to be around his person/people.' 'He is always up for a leashed adventure and he enjoys retrieving balls, rope and just about any toy - but only for a few minutes at a time' 'When he sits for attention and you put your arms around him he just turns into warm butter'. 'He is very potty trained now (thank you fancy meat treats for providing incentive) but he should be crated when no one is home. He does very well when he goes out in public and enjoys making new friends everywhere he goes'. 'Valero still needs some training but that is ok because you can teach him what you want him to know and he is a speedy learner' 'He is a really sensitive guy and he responds very well to positive reinforcement. He is also incredibly endearing. It is impossible not to love him if you have spent any time with him. Valero is an excellent little dog' - Valero's foster Mom Doesn't this guy sound amazing? We don't usually just quote the foster directly, but when the foster gives us so much information and clearly loves the dog - it just seems right. They know the dog better than anyone. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption.     Hi - I'm Tanner. I'm a very sad, 3-year-old red shepherd-boxer mix with beautiful eyes, who was saved from a shelter in California. I am a wonderful dog who needs a home. 'I was in a foster-to-adopt home and was doing great, until my fosters moved to a new home and confined me to the kitchen, and I didn't adjust well. So for now, I'm back in a kennel, waiting patiently for a second chance. I would love a couple or person who makes me their world, someone who can take me for walks, hikes, or someone who will simply hang out with me. I've waited for so long for a forever home. Can you foster or adopt me?

I usually go by Charles, but seems everyone wants to call me Charlie. I'm fine with that if it means people pay me attention! Though they tell me I am German Shepherd, I'm pretty sure it's not much because I'm pretty small coming in at only 40-45lbs. Now don't let that smallness fool you, I will keep you safe by letting you know when people arrive, though I will be the first in line for cuddles and love because I LOVE people. If you are people, simple... it means I love you! I like dogs and cats and little people and big people and walking nicely by your side, and of course - food! I love being with my foster Mom but I heard you can ... (Read More)adopt your own humans, so I am really looking for a forever human to adopt.
