German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats
Personality: High Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Henry.... a 7mo old beautiful goof! He wants nothing more to do that run and play... and run and play...! True to his husky heritage, Henry can be a bit stubborn at times. He is incredibly smart and knows many commands but often when told to do something, he'll look at you as if he's trying to decide whether he should obey now or wait until he's done playing! He loves kids but is still quite the puppy so children must be over 12yrs old. He's a very energetic boy so must have an athletically active home that will take him on plenty of jogs and hiking. He's still a bit insecure with large dogs but loves to play with those smaller ... (Read More)than he... although another dog in the home is not necessary. He has lived with cats but he does like to torment and chase... although not aggressive - so no cats are recommended. He must have a securely fenced backyard and a family that understand this gorgeous, intelligent, stubborn breed. (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

What a stunner our boy Watson is!! He is a 5month old German Shep X that has had some basic training, is mostly house trained, crate trained and gets along well with adults and older kids. His energy level and size does not make him a good fit for children under 10. Watson loves a good game of fetch or tug, and is a very loving boy. While he is quite energetic in his play, he is also surprisingly mellow a good amount of time. German Shep mixes are highly intelligent loyal dogs, and Watson is no exception! He is a very smart trainable boy who will make a great companion and hiking partner for an active couple or family. Adoption fee is $300

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-19-00045Emily (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Can you imagine a pup whose only flaw is that she snores? Well, Emily is absolutely perfect except for that one cute little trait! That's no surprise considering that she has some Sharpei in her beautiful mix. Emily was rescued with her mom and two sisters and what a find for us. All four of these beauties have amazing personalities, are super smart and most importantly, they are affectionate. Emily absolutely LOVES everyone that she's ever met, which includes all people, kids, dogs and even cats. It says a lot for a young pup to be cat- friendly, but that is just one of the reasons we call her perfect. The word that her foster mom ... (Read More)uses to describe her is 'GOOFY', but in the cutest way you can imagine. She is always entertaining the family and their friends too with her silly ways. She is definitely a dog that will keep you giggling constantly, warm your heart and turn bad days into good ones. Emily is a snuggler, so if you don't care for spooning with your dog or one across your lap or in your arms she might not be perfect for you. She's super affectionate with everyone and prefers to be touching or at least very close at all times. She loves cuddling on the couch or bed with her people or on the floor with her other dog buddies. Playful, silly, fun and loving are all adjectives to describe this little lady. She's about 40 pounds, has the most gorgeous markings and coat and she's just under 1 year old (approx DOB: Sept 2013). Emily is crate trained, housebroken and does well on and off of a leash. She is also spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She is ready to snuggle with her new owners, so hurry up and fill out the application for adoption under the adoption tab at www.corridorrescue.org Emily currently lives in Houston, Texas and is on the network for Seattle because we have several amazing volunteers who live here and help coordinate successful out-of-state adoptions. Corridor Rescue has the very fortunate ability to transport dogs to other states via the United Airlines PetSafe program. We have worked out a very cost effective way to transport these lucky dogs to their new homes. The transport cost is $225, which includes the airline flight, a new pet travel kennel that you can keep upon arrival and the required health documents from the veterinarian. The adoption fee is $150 for all of our dogs. The total cost for adopting this pet is $375. If you have any questions please email corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-16-00004Sadie (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I know I might look like an average dog because I am average height, average color, average energy level. But, I can assure you that there's nothing average about me. I'm smart, active, beautiful, friendly, loving, I get along with everyone and I'm the perfect size to take anywhere in the car! PLUS, I have amazing natural eyeliner and a grin too. Look at my cute little face! If I haven't convinced you to adopt me yet, please read more about me. My name is Sadie and I was found in the Corridor of Cruelty, which again proves I'm not average, because I'm a survivor of that place. I was hungry, tired, neglected and I am here to tell you that ... (Read More)none of that matters anymore because I am living my life to the fullest. I am the perfect size to take on all of your adventures, even if that is just a Saturday at the hardware store and then out for frozen yogurt (I'll only eat a little bit, I promise!). I really enjoy going on walks and I do well on my leash and am very eager to keep moving. I would love to be your exercise partner and motivator. I can run, run along the side of your bicycle, walk, play ball or anything you'd like to do. I also like to take breaks from all of your activities to just sit with you and enjoy life, which I didn't get to do in my past. I get along with everyone I meet, even the new dogs I see at Petsmart every week and children. I just walk up and sniff and then we are all ready to play. I've played with lots of dogs at the boarding facility that I live at, but I'd really like to go to a dog park. Would you take me there? My personality shines through and again is not average. I'm fun, affectionate, loyal and really just want to end my transition period with my rescuers and start my new life with a great family. Are you ready to get away from average and shoot for spectacular? If so, I'm your girl!!! German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Not Good with Cats
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Darling Rocco! This 1yr old, 85lbs boy is such a nice guy! He has a wonderful, easy doing temperament and gets along with everyone. He's very polite and does not jump up, nor does he 'throw his weight around' like most 1yr old pups would do. Rocco will be a great addition to a family with children over 10yrs old. He doesn't yet have much training but he's such a calm boy, he doesn't seem like an obnoxious large puppy. He's happiest when he can be in the large yard by your side, or better yet some, on some acreage so he can really stretch out his beautiful brindled legs. He gets along great with other moderately calm, neutral females ... (Read More)but does not need another dog in the home. Also, no cats for this boy. (Less)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

What an adorable girl! Tally is just barely over a year old and weighs about 55lbs. She is very sweet, very smart, and loves to learn new things. She loves people and is friendly to everyone she meets. She especially likes those that will play chase with her in the yard! She also loves the game of chase with other dogs. She recently lived in a home with 2 standard poodles and they'd spend their day romping through the yard or taking a nap together on one of the cushy dog beds. She's a polite girl that has great house manners... but when outside she still needs a bit of training, such as 'come.' Once she's able to go on a long walk, ... (Read More)jog or hike, she's then ready to learn all you have to teach her. Tally will do best in an athletically active home that will continue with training, and provide lots of cuddle time, too. She must have a fenced backyard in which to play. Although she gets along great with other dogs, another dog in the home is not necessary. Children over 8yrs old are fine, but no cats. (Less)

German Shepherd    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Abused/Neglected

Kilo is a very sweet dog. He rarely barks. He was raised with a female dog but they were seperated a few yrs. ago. He is not getting the attention he deserves and is often neglected by his owners. He has been confined to small spaces and not given the attention he deserves. It breaks my heart because he is such a good dog. I would like him to live his senior years happy with someone who can give him love and attention and a yard to run.

Darwin is doing ok after his last visit to the specialist. The swelling and infection in his knee has resolved. Cancer has been ruled out. He will now need to go back to the surgeon. BUT DARWIN NEEDS AN ADOPTER OR LONG TERM FOSTER HOME. He has been here a long time, but doesn't want to live in a shelter. He likes small dogs and some big dogs, but doesn't like cats. He likes kids but should not be in a home with them.Darwin was surrendered to the shelter because his family had to move and were unable to keep both of their dogs. He was recently DNA tested and found to be a mix of mostly Rottweiler with German Shepard and Doberman thrown in ... (Read More)there. He has been mostly indoors and lived with a small dachshund. Darwin has led the good life and could lose a few pounds. He has the right mix of size and temperament to make an excellent protector for his owner and their house.     Darling Brice! This 2yr old boy is incredibly sweet natured, affectionate and gets along great with people he meets outside the home. When in the home, he feels the need to protect so he must have an experienced handler to help him understand that he does not always need to guard the home but instead can just relax. He really is a gentle boy that loves affection... and LOVES to run and play with the other dogs. Animal ID: PRO-275Leo (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hello, my name is Leo. I am 8 yrs young and am lab/german sheep mix. My mom adopted me and my brother Beau when we were only 5-6 weeks old and raised us. I have always had wander lust (so a good fence is a must to keep me safe) and led Beau on many adventures, one of which got me hurt %BD'%BD|. bad! I fell down some big boulders and broke my elbow %BD'%BD| It now is bionic and has never caused me any grief. I can run and play with the best of them. Beau and I always went to Auntie Gretchen's for 2-3 weeks in the summer when mom went on vacation. Auntie has been trying to convince mom for years that even though I am so sweet and ... (Read More)cuddly, I see myself as alpha (at least over Beau and mom)%BD'%BD|. I learned years ago that auntie is alpha in her house and I don't argue the point. Mom recently got a divorce and for months, Beau and I came to auntie's house%BD'%BD| Mom finally found a place and we all moved in. I got very irritated with her and the others when they would go to work so I decided to show em who was boss and I ate the furniture, tore up carpets and door moulding %BD'%BD| mom finally put a camera to see who was doing the damage%BD'%BD|. Beau and Jax would go hide when I got wound up. Mom is renting and finally, tearfully asked auntie Gretchen to try and find me a new home %BD'%BD|. my good traits are: I know sit/down/stay and walk nicely on a leash. I am learning 'wait' here at auntie's house. I love to play fetch and am happy running and playing with other dogs. I HATE being tied up and will bark and whine to show my displeasure. I know to stay off the furniture and I don't get into the garbage. I adore humans and don't care what size they are. I don't guard food or toys and am not a picky eater. I am crate trained and need a nice roomy, strong one. I am completely house broken. I love going for car rides and just generally being with a human. I don't jump on people and I am not a obnoxious licker of humans. I do have a couple of faults%BD'%BD| I will destroy any toy that is filled with stuffing. I have been known to destroy my bedding if it is 'fluffy' (though I am doing way better). I can be with cats but should have some supervision since I do like to see if I can make them run from me. I need a family that will shower me with love and affection and take me in as a long lost family member. (Less)
