Animal ID: 17-10-20-00215Riley (female)

German Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Female Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

I have a 4 yr old German shepherd who I rescue from being taken to the pound when she was 6 months old. Due to my current housing situation I cannot have her, She is staying with my parents who have another dog as well as a second 'granddog' who lives there. 3 big dogs is a lot. So I am looking to find a Loving Home for my Riley Baby. She has been around other dogs and does well withthose who live in the home as long as she is the 'boss', with that being said the other dogs in her life are the same size or bigger. than she is. We had an incident where she got out while we were coming and went after the neighbors little dog who was ... (Read More)aggressively barking at her. She did bite him but all is well he is okay and we are on very good terms with the family. She does not like small animals when I first rescued her we lived close to the edge of town with pasture behind us she loved to chase and catch squirrels and gofers and was never discouraged. She has been with all ages from Newborn to the elderly and loves all people. When I rescued here it was my first big dog and I did not know how to train her. she knows basic commands and responds well but has a mind of her own when she is on a mission. She loves havign a job! and she is very sensitive to those who are vulnerable, she lays next to my mother who is diabetic when her blodd sugar levels are low, she lies next to the newborns bassinet. She is a very sweet girl. But has the energy level typicalof her breed. She is small for a German shepherd, fully grown now she is 65 lbs. with beautiful markings. When she was 1 she got her foot caught and chewed it free while we were not home, she had surgery and is missing 2 toes on a back paw but you would never know. She deserves someone who will be very active and invest in her! Thanks :-) (Less)

Wanda is a great dog. She is young, curious and friendly, house broken, and well behaved. She would love to have a nice yard to play in and a family of her very own. She likes to take walks and knows how to be a loyal companion. She enjoys the challenge of escaping a fence, so monitored outside play is suggested. She has a calm demeanor if exercised a bit daily. Wanda is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and ready to bring life and laughter to your home. Her adoption fee is $300 apply at www.ruffluckdogrescue.com

Rescue Me ID: 17-08-28-00460Lady (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current, Aggressive

Lady has been my pup since she was just 8 weeks old. I purchased her in Miami FL in 2012. I changed careers and have been trying to make it work with her but since I'm on the road so much I just can't manage giving her the attention she needs. It breaks my heart and took me over a year and her acting out to actually move forward with facing the issue. My girlfriend and I have been doing what we can over the last year but Lady just simply doesn't get the exercise & attention she needs. I've decided to reach out and see if this is something your organization can help with. She needs exercise daily. She's a very spunky & playful dog that lots ... (Read More)of people can attest to. Recently she was involved in a dog fight. Both dogs were loose and needed to physically be seperated. After this incident I began trying to rehome her, thinking more attention and freedom would be the answer. Since them Ive introduced her to a few different familys and animals and on another occassion tried to attack another dog completely unprovoked. Luckily I was able to restrain her before anything serious was done. Hoping a dog like Lady can find a single dog home to be more free and unleash some pent up energy or find the solution to the issues at hand. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-04-10-00635Chloe (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Chloe is a female Shepherd mix; she is approximately 14 years old (as of Oct. 2016). Chloe is a very sweet girl who loves to go for walks and snuggle. She is not very fond of other dogs; she is fine when leashed and on walks with others but doesn't do well if she were to mix with them. Chloe is fine with kids, cats and people. She is very much a people pleaser. Chloe came to GGOH in early 2012 when her owners had set out to euthanize her due to an altercation with another dog. Rather than have her lose her life for simply not liking another dog we agreed to have Chloe join us here at Gregory's. Just like some people, there are dogs who ... (Read More)prefer to not have others of her own kind in her own personal space - how could we fault her for that! She has done great here with us; she is very friendly with all the volunteers and staff and as stated, is fine with other dogs when supervised and everyone keeps their own space. Great walking partner for an active person! This senior gal has lots of spunk and is looking for the right person to love her and be her guardian. Is it you?
