Rescue Me ID: 15-04-11-00560Frannie (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Frannie, Shay & Dawson ~ Intake date: 3/29/15. Frannie, along with her two pups, Shay and Dawson, are the result of yet another rescue mission from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. The LightShine Rescue Group has been doing some amazing work out on this Reservation to save as many dogs as possible from a nearly certain death and we here at GGOH have been doing our part to help when we can. Frannie is a German Shepherd/Lab mix, approximately 2 years old. She is up-to-date on vaccinations but is not yet spayed as she came to us still nursing her pups. Shay & Dawson are believed to be a Lab cross, both microchipped and ... (Read More)up-to-date on their puppy shots; approximately 10 weeks old as of 4/13/15. Both pups are females with Shay having the white-tipped paws and white bib. Dawson is solid black. Frannie is just a lovely, well-behaved dog and has been a very good momma to her babies. She would make a wonderful pet for anyone looking to add a medium sized dog into their life. The puppies are, well, puppies! They are full of energy and are into all the things a puppy would normally be into at this age. They like to run and play and roll and jump and sniff and chew and well, as already said, do all things puppy. We're excited to have them here with us at GGOH but we're even more excited over the possibility of finding these wonderful dogs new and loving forever homes. If you'd like to meet Frannie, Shay or Dawson, please review our adoption policies and procedures and then come on in during visiting hours for an up-close and personal - we just know you're going to love them! Please visit our website (www.ggohinc.com) for further information on our Fencing and Indoor Living policies as well as information regarding our adoption process. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-04-11-00135Brewster (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Brewster is an Akita/Husky/Shepherd mix (DOB approximately November 2009), and is one great big teddy bear! He has been with us here at Gregory's for over 2 years now (as of Nov. 2014) awaiting his new forever home. Brewster is a big boy, weighing in at about 105 lbs. He loves the outdoors, loves going on walks and is partial to small dogs vs. dogs closer to his own size. He was previously living in a home with small dogs and did fine. Ok with cats and kids. He is up to date on his vaccinations and is neutered. Brewster was dumped from the back seat of a car while driving down a road in MN by his owner's cousin when the owner would not ... (Read More)take him back after leaving him with her 'for a bit'. Police had record of all of the happenings with this person and Brewster was removed from the environment, only to land in a situation where he was to be euthanized - at this point, an animal advocate stepped in and promised him they would get him out 'of jail'. That's where Brewster's story begins with Gregory's; we were contacted by the animal advocate and immediately accepted Brewster into our GGOH family. If you'd like more information on Brewster, please contact us or stop by during visiting hours to meet this big boy in person. Brewster hopes to see you soon! German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Jiggy is a male, German Shepherd/Husky mix puppy, approx. 11 weeks old as of Feb. 2015. Jiggy joined GGOH's family after he was left to wander and scrounge for food on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. With the threat of death, he was scooped up by dedicated rescue workers in the area and transported to where Gregory's could step in and finish out the rescue. Jiggy is a feisty little guy, all puppy! He's a charmer so be warned; it's highly unlikely that you could come within 10 feet of this little guy and not fall completely in love with him. It's happened to all of us here at GGOH!! For a more updated photo and to see his ... (Read More)growth progress, visit our website. Rescue Me ID: 15-04-10-00637Freida (female)

German Shepherd    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Freida is a female German Shepherd, approximately 7 years old (as of intake in March 2015). According to the kennel that we received Freida from, she is a purebred. She is up-to-date on vaccinations, heart worm negative, and spayed. Freida is another beautiful dog that came to GGOH from Smiling Dog Farms in TX. Freida's only been with us for a short time, but in the little amount of time that we've had her, we've observed excellent behavior. She is friendly right-off-the-bat with newcomers (people that is), has no interest whatsoever in cats, and is good with smaller dogs. Freida is BEAUTIFUL! Very good looking dog. She may be a petite ... (Read More)German Shepherd, but there sure is a lot to love about her. We're told she's not real fond of bath time, doesn't fight it, but doesn't exactly like it either - but hey, can you blame her - when you look this good, there's no need to mess with silly old baths. Don't let this love of a girl slip by you if you're in the market for a bigger, sweetheart of a dog - you'll kick yourself for it if you do!! Note: Freida's coloring is more true to life in the second photo - first photo was provided to us from the rescue in TX. Rescue Me ID: 15-04-10-00635Chloe (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Chloe is a female Shepherd mix; she is approximately 11 years old. Chloe is a very sweet girl who loves to go for walks and snuggle. She is not very fond of other dogs; she is fine when leashed and on walks with others but doesn't do well if she were to mix with them. Chloe is fine with kids, cats and people. She is very much a people pleaser. Chloe came to GGOH in early 2012 when her owners had set out to euthanize her due to an altercation with another dog. Rather than have her lose her life for simply not liking another dog we agreed to have Chloe join us here at Gregory's. Just like some people, there are dogs who prefer to not have ... (Read More)others of her own kind in her own personal space - how could we fault her for that! She has done great here with us; she is very friendly with all the volunteers and staff and as stated, is fine with other dogs when supervised and everyone keeps their own space. Great walking partner for an active person! This senior gal has lots of spunk and is looking for the right person to love her and be her guardian. Is it you? German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed

Breed: Shepard Gender: Female Age: 6 years Weight: 35 lbs Tallulah has been in my care for three days now and came to me very afraid and confused. I believe she must have been an outside dog or always kept in a garage as she is scared to come in the house after going to the bathroom and always hangs out in the garage when let her outside. I also believe that she has never used stairs before because at first she couldn't figure out how to get up or down them. However, within the short time Ive had her she has significantly come out of her shell and does so more and more everyday! She already is more comfortable using the stairs and is a ... (Read More)whole lot less nervous when coming inside. She gets along perfectly with my dog and cat and has no food aggression or handling issues, and will even let me pick her up and carry her! She is an overall sweetheart who is learning how to be a normal dog again. She will be receiving lots of love from now on!! (Less)

Angel is a senior Husky mix with limited vision, but that doesn't appear to hinder him much. He doesn't like cats. A home with a senior or laid back(low energy) medium or large dog is preferable.
