Meet Betsy! She is just the sweetest little dog you will ever meet. Betsy is a 2 to 3 year old Beagle/ Shepherd mix who only weighs about 25 or 30 lbs. She has the best personality and gets along great with other dogs. She is crate trained and doing great in her foster home. She is learning all the wonderful comforts of living in a home. She was picked up by animal control with her two puppies who have both found homes. She is a great size and has a wonderful temperament. She will make a fantastic addition to a loving family! She has been spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. We will be at the Petsmart in Madison, WI March 29th and will preadopt her when we find an excellent home. Her adoption fee is $300 and includes transportation. You can complete an application online at www.tracysdogs.com. Betsy is deserving of a loving forever home! (Less)

Attention Rescues - Foster Home Needed!! Local LaCrosse Shelter has a 7 year old German Shepherd X that originally came from another organization. She originally came to their shelter as a stray so no background information there. She is fully vetted: Spayed, current on vaccinations, she also had a skin tag removed which is healed now. She also had a 4dx test and she tested positive for lyme. She was being treated at the previous shelter and they didn't send any medication along. They have contacted a vet to ask if he could fill a prescription for her but I haven't heard back. It's been close to 2 weeks since she has been off of doxy and she was only on it a week prior to that. Long of the short, she has some resource guarding issues. You can't get the asses a hand within a foot or two of her without her leaving the food dish to come and bite the hand multiple times. She does this with little warning. She is great with body handling and is a social girl. The shelter she came from wouldn't place her back up for adoption after they were told about the resource guarding and Coulee Region won't put her up for adoption either. They do not have the training resources. This girl is on death row. I will be making a trip to WI Dells on Wed of next week. I also have someone that could transport this girl to Madison, so that is covered. Wondering if there is a rescue out there that could help. I am in the process of getting a photo I can send. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 13-12-31-00474Rylee (female)|
Rylee is a sweet adoptable young female adult shepherd/shiba inu mix with loads of personality. She is reserved until she gets to know you, but is quite friendly to family and those she has gotten to know. Rylee gets along with most dogs, and enjoys playing with toys and with her canine friends. She also gets along with the cat with whom she shares her foster home. At about 60 lbs., Rylee is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and has had some obedience training. She is spayed, and is up to date on her vaccinations. Rylee does possess several of the traits that characterize the shiba inu breed, so familiarity with this breed and experience with the northern spitz type dog is strongly recommended. Rylee must have a home with a secure fenced yard. If you can provide the type of home that this charming girl needs, please apply to adopt Rylee! (Less)

|PIease Read Before Adopting a German Shepherd in Wisconsin|
German Shepherd Dogs can make good pets in Wisconsin if they match your IifestyIe. The German Shepherd is a large, highly intelligent working dog. German Shepherds are very protective, but not hostile; they make great guard dogs and wonderful companions. German Shepherds should be well socialized early in life. German Shepherds that are properly trained and socialized are good with children and other pets. This breed can adapt to apartment life with sufficient exercise.
