Duke was seen by a young couple who wanted to meet him. They came up yesterday and said they wanted him from the first time they saw his picture and even more so after they met him. He went right up to the couple and was very happy. It was kind of sad to see him go, but he is going to a very good home. Thank you, Rescue Me.

We were not able to keep a second animal due to regulations at our living quarters. I am training a 'service' dog for me so Jedda had to be put up for adoption. I AM SO HAPPY for Jedda as I believe, after several interviews, we have found the perfect home for the almost perfect GS. She is a purebred and is very smart. She took to her new family without a hitch. Lynette and family who adopted her had lost their GS several months ago. She emailed me about Jedda's new environment. Chickens, bunnies, four cats, a few birds and lots of space which I saw when I visited for the interview. Rescue Me is a wonderful service and deserve all the good press we the user can provide. Thank you.

Thank you Rescue Me! Within a very short time after posting Paopei, she was adopted to what we believe a loving family. Unfortunately, my daughter-in-law's job required her to travel a lot, leaving her with me and I could not manage her. We were thankful for the family that came along and adopted her and giving her a happy home.

Thank you, Rescue Me. Willow was adopted by a great family and is now living with Mom, Dad and two teenage boys. She has a place to play in the acre size yard and the beach is close by- lucky girl! Best of all, she has two fabulous furry dog friends to play with. I believe with all my heart that they will enjoy her, love her, and care for her as I would. Thanks to all who share their love, life and time with rescues. You are AWESOME!

We got many inquires for Gustav (Gus). We were fortunate to find a person very well suited to adopt Gus. She is a vet technician and understood Gus's Pancreatic Insuficiancy. To her it was no big deal as it was for us. Pills given with meals and that was it. Cost was not an issue as she has a great discount where she works. He will have many of the things we had wanted for him. Very pleased at the fast response we had on Rescue Me. Thank you for providing this service.

Thank you so much, Rescue Me. I love my new dog Blacky. I got her yesterday. She does not look like the picture. She is a purebred German Shepherd. She knows her basic commands, walks on a leash next to me and is very loving. I will suggest to others looking for a pet to not rely so much on the picture. Go and meet the dog! You will be surprised. She has adapted so well to the house and the people who live in it. She just wanted a loving home! She is a gorgeous and sweet dog! Thank You so much!.

Thank you so much for the overwhelming response I received in connection with finding my two beautiful German Shepherds, Holly and Chelsea, a new home. I am pleased to say that I have found my precious 'puppy dogs' a new home - thank you very much to Bryan and Joan. I know that Holly and Chelsea will be taken very good care of and that you will spoil them and love them just as much as Brent and I do, thank you once again! Thank you very much too to Jeff Gold, the Founder of Rescue Me. Without your website, I would not have found such a suitable home for my dogs in such a short period of time. Kind regards Robyn

Even for a nine year old girl, there is hope! This poor girl lost her Mommy. There were several inquiries, with many far away, but the dear family who fell in love with her face came from about two hours away. The first report says that the three children, ages two-thirteen, adore her and she adores them right back. A very happy ending! Thank you, Rescue Me, for being instrumental in this match!

Our wonderful German Shepherd (Biscuit) was having behavioral issues that we no longer could handle. He was having issues with our other dog and this was not the first time. We had been trying to find him the perfect home for about six months before finding Rescue Me and it was the best thing that has ever happened to Biscuit! He now lives with his new momma and is an only 'child'. We thankfully have the privilege to still communicate with his new owner and have even been invited to come see him anytime. We are extremely thankful to have found this site- it was easy to use and made me feel like I was in control of who adopted him! I've already recommended Rescue Me to two people who are trying to find a new home for their fur-babies!

Thank you Rescue Me for helping me find a home for Jacko. I found him starving and miserable on a track in the olive grove near our house. I have cared for him for four months and am delighted to report that he has now been adopted. I posted him on a Friday and by the next Tuesday he was on his way to his new family. Thank you Sue for wanting him and many thanks to Jeff Gold for making this happen with this site.

My foster dog, Fisher, was adopted because of my post on Rescue Me! I like the way potential adopter can get in touch with me directly through email or a phone call, no middle man. Kyle contacted me, we met, he fell in love with the Fish and I get updates on FaceBook almost everyday. This is the most effective way I have found to post my fosters. I have had interest on every dog I have posted here. Thanks for creating a simple way to connect with adopters.

Thank you Rescue me and thank you to her new family for letting her in your home and in your hearts.

Shadow was not our responsibility, directly, but we felt like we had to help. After a failed attempt of placing Shadow with a new family, we were told about Rescue Me! We placed a posting for Shadow and in less than 24 hours, we had three responses. I know his new family will give him the home and love that he deserves. We wish this gentle giant the best in his new found life! Now let me add this; What a WONDERFUL service Rescue Me provides. After this experience, I couldn't help but donate to this wonderful organization. I encourage all of the readers of this posting to do the same!

I'm so glad I found Rescue Me to help me find a home for Sundy!! She's a special dog and has been a wonderful companion for me, but since she was always an outside dog at my home out in the country, I really needed to find a new home for her before I move into a small apartment. I got several responses to my post on Rescue Me, including one from a lady who worked with a poodle rescue. Because she took an interest in Sundy, she passed along her information; a wonderful lady with a young German Shepherd got in touch with me to see if Sundy would be a good friend and play fellow for 'Wolfie.' When we got the two of them together, they romped and played and made great friends. After spending some time with them, the lady gave me an update and said 'She's a keeper!' I am SO glad that Sundy found a new home where she will be loved and well taken care of and where she'll have a friend like 'Wolfie.' I'm so grateful this worked out so well!

We are so happy to welcome Tuck into our home. The previous owners wrote an honest, thorough description of their much loved pet, and made every effort to work with us on pet introductions, medical records and delivery. Their cooperation and caring made it possible for this sweet German Shepard to skip any shelter time, leaving much needed space for less fortunate animals. I first saw Tuck on Rescue Me and resolved to either find a home for her, a more desirable place, or adopt her myself. In two short weeks, her intelligence, good nature and desire to please has been essential to merging into our pack. It hasn't been perfect, but with gentle resolve, boundaries and lots of love, we are glad to say we could not have adopted a better dog. Please note Tuck is six years old. She is a seasoned, well trained pet, and positive proof that adopting an older dog can be a huge success in all ways.

We really didn't want to have to re-home Mae, but she just wasn't comfortable with our small child. Through Rescue Me, we were able to connect with a K-9 trainer. Mae is entering into her new life as a working dog and I sincerely believe that this will fulfill her working needs and give her the quality of life she deserves. We were contacted and worked with the adopter to make the transition smooth for everyone. Of course, tears were shed, but minimized by the fact that we knew she was entering into a great new life. I would absolutely recommend this site as a way to re-home your pet and connect with people that can provide a home that meets their needs. Just remember to please screen your potential adopters carefully and call on references provided. Thank you!

I am so thankful that I came across Rescue Me! I found the perfect family for our puppy and couldn't be more pleased. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found out about this site.      We are happy to announce that Bello got adopted yesterday. We looked at a lot of different options, but it was through Rescue Me that we were able to find a loving couple to adopt Bello. He needs a lot of attention, space and exercise. So, we were concerned where he may end up. The couple has two acres and had been thinking of looking for a GSD. After visiting the site, they contacted me and we set up a meeting for the wife to come and see Bello. She saw Bello and decided to take him the same day. She sent us pictures of him in his new home. He looks happy and very excited. I'm sure he is happy and content and will enjoy running around the two acres.

Buddy was found as a stray in extremely poor condition. The person who found him was not able to keep him, was only able to get him off the streets. He was then relocated with a young man. Unfortunately, the landlord would not allow him to keep him. Then a babysitter was added to the mix, and that's where I came in. I saw him being walked and commented on the dog. He needed a home. They were unsuccessful, tried all they know, and were fearing they might have to put him down. So, Buddy came home with me. After trying approximately 60 different names, we kept Buddy which is what the babysitter was calling him. He seemed to like it well enough. This poor dog, approx eight years old, did not know any of the basic commands. He didn't know what a toy was or even a milk bone. He had gained weight, but he was still horribly thin. Veterinarian visit showed worms, but no heart worm. We treated and started on preventative. Buddy is a great dog, however, was never taught not to kill cats, chickens and squirrels. Not only did he kill seven chickens, almost got a few barn cats, and house cats (who were subsequently locked in the basement). He scaled fences, broke through large inside wire kennels, opened house doors, and so on. He also was not into human contact. He accepted it, but either way was okay with him. After working with Buddy a few weeks, (with our house cats still in the basement and pretty mad at that!), he caught a chicken and brought it to me still alive. Huge Progress! He also learned to sit, to lay, and fetch. Oh, he knows what toys are now, and is loving pets and scratching and loving the affection. Thanks to this site, Buddy was placed today in his new home. He was not an easy one to place. It had to be just the right person willing to continue his training. Buddy came from a really dark place but, thanks to Rescue me, his remaining days will be happy.

We wanted to find the 'right' home with good people who would love and care for Kojak. We are happy to say we found a great couple/family who adopted him. They stay in touch and keep us updated with news and photos. I also liked that we could carefully screen interested adopters. Rescue Me allowed us to safely interview interested adopters and rehome Kojak with new, loving owners.

I posted Rebel on the Rescue Me site and he was adopted a week later to a loving, young couple who will give him the TLC Rebel needs. They have plenty of room for him to run and play. I wouldn't have been able to find such caring people if it was not for Rescue Me. I had numerous people all over the state interested in adopting Rebel. I even had one out of state inquiring about him. With Rescue Me, it is a blessing to see people rescuing a dog in need of a loving home, instead of buying from a breeder or puppy mill. Bless you all for opening up your hearts to the animals in need. 18th century German philosopher Immanuel Kant said, 'We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.' Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr. Albert Schweitzer said, 'It is man's sympathy with all creatures that first makes him truly a man'. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, for thinking of the animal in need. God bless you all!

Coco had lost her human tragically and was taken in by the family who was too ill to care for her properly. We tried to find a home for three months. I finally brought her to my house (we are already at maximum) and, within two days, she found her forever home on Rescue Me! I never even had a chance to post a picture.

We found a fabulous home for a German Shepherd puppy that was rescued. I was very picky and was not letting her just go to anyone. Rescue Me is the best to both rescue and finding fabulous homes.

I appreciate everyone who responded to my post on Sarge. Sarge has been adopted to a great, loving home where he will be loved and cared for physically and mentally. He is also to be trained for search and rescue! With myself being an E911 dispatcher, I know from personal experience how useful a trained dog is, especially for a small child missing or an elderly person confused! It gives me great pleasure, comfort and peace of mind that Sarge will be trained to do what he was actually bred to do and he can possibly save a life! If it wasn't for Rescue Me, I would have not found a person who is so passionate about training dogs for search and rescue missions. He also shared a few of his stories about previous dogs he trained and still has that has rescued or saved someone. It brought tears to my eyes and comfort to my heart!! Thanks for all the help!!!! I will also be allowed to keep a check on Sarge and get updates on his progress which makes me feel even more pleased!!!! I can't say it enough, THANKS!!!!

Duke was adopted the day after I posted him on Rescue Me. The lady who adopted him was very excited to find a German Shepherd since she looks only for that breed to train as a rescue dog. She wanted a dog with a non-aggressive personality who could socialize with other dogs. Duke was a perfect fit. I knew he needed someone who would be willing to spend time training him. He has a lot of energy and is smart; I'm sure he will do well. He seemed to accept his surroundings and his new owner as soon as we got there. I have her contact information so I can follow up to see how he is doing. This website did the trick.

I can only thank you, Rescue Me, for helping so many people find their perfect new family member and the rescues find so many great adopters. Mikey is a special little guy and he will be so happy with his new family. Thank you!

Your service was an answer to my prayers! The sweet baby that I brought home off the streets of a not-so-good neighborhood found a loving home in less than 24 hours after posting her pic and information on Rescue Me. I was driving home from work yesterday evening. I work as a counselor at an elementary school. On my way home, I saw some kids with a beautiful German Shepherd. Then, all of a sudden, she ran across the street, right in front of me, with me almost hitting her. I thought she must belong to the kids, until I noticed that no one came after her to retrieve her, which I thought was odd. So, I turned around and drove back to check on her. I saw her walking along with the two older girls. So, I pulled over and said that I was glad that she was okay and that she belonged to someone. I also noticed how skinny she was. I could easily see her ribs and backbone from my car which made known that something was not right. They immediately told me that she was not their dog, and that she was just following them, and that they did not want her, and asked me if I wanted her. At that point, I knew that I had to try to help her. So, I told them, 'Yes, I will help her, if they would help me get her into my car.' Well, she got right in without much effort on our part at all. I really did not have a plan. But, I knew that I could not leave her there, a neighborhood known for dog fighting and using non-aggressive dogs as bait. So, we get home and she meets my two cats and my little Yorkie, Chyna, who is not happy at all to see a dog whose head is the size of her! I immediately knew that I would not be able to keep her with Chyna, who is prone to seizures, which can be brought on my stress and anxiety. As I held Chyna in my arms, I gave our visitor food and water, which she eagerly gobbled down. Then, I decided to walk up my street with her to my neighbor Karen's house. Karen is as passionate animals as I am. So I wanted to get her advice on what to do next and possible no-kill shelters in the area, etc. Her husband and son were outside and shared with me that Karen was in bed sick with the flu. Then, her husband offered to let her stay in their fenced in yard for the night. Again, this was another answered prayer, since I had no idea where I was going to put her for the night, other than my basement, which would not have been ideal. With her safe for the night, I began researching for agencies to help me find her a good home and ran across this website. Honestly, I was skeptical and not getting my hopes up that anyone would actually contact me. But, I was so wrong! Less than six hours later, someone sent me a message, and the messages kept coming! The first person I talked said they lived four hours away, but were willing to drive here to pick up this sweet girl. My neighbor's son offered to meet her half way tonight. So, as I type this, she is on her way to her new, loving home to her new parents who are so excited to meet her! When they also shared with me that they had prayed to find her, I knew I had found the right home for this beautiful, sweet, and smart girl. I cannot thank Rescue Me enough for helping me, and most of all, helping 'Gretchen'.

Bear, our cute little fur ball, was seen and adopted by one of our previous adopters. After seeing his picture on Rescue Me, they called right away to find out if he was still available for a furever home. He is now with them and a big brother Koda, loving life and being spoiled rotten in his approved family.

I hope for the best for Mercedes and hope she is treated the way she deserved LOVED!

I had been trying to re-home someone's dog for them for a couple of months. I had tried everyone that I knew in my 'dog community', local rescues and even national breed rescues. Either there was no response or just to ability to help. I came across Rescue Me by accident and decided to try it. Within 24 hours, I had 10 emails from interested people (and the emails kept coming!). Obviously, not all were a good fit, however, one stood out and shortly after all the questions, reference checks, etc. Jack was in his new home in about one week's time. Thanks for this wonderful site! It helped give a great dog a new great home!

My husband has always wanted a full blooded Black German Shepherd but as most people know they aren't cheap!! Our 15 year old and 14 year old babies passed away last summer and he recently decided he was ready to get another dog, but he was very specific about what kind of baby he wanted. As he described, the ideal dog, I was pretty sure this dog didn't exist and if we did find one that checked all his boxes, we would never be able to afford it. So, being the hard headed person I am, I secretly accepted the challenge, I started searching for months and months. Then I stumbled upon the Rescue Me page. I scrolled through the dogs available, and at last there was the dog he had been describing, my heart started pounding! Had I really found the dog of my husbands dreams? I sent an email, days went by and I was losing hope, I figured she was already taken and the post had just not been removed. Then I got the an email it was from the owner. She explained that she didn't see the email until just then. She sent me details about her baby and a picture. Viola, I had found the impossible!!! I was holding my breath as I asked the million dollar question, How much is the adoption fee? I couldn't believe it and even asked twice...... no adoption fee, they just wanted her to go to a good home! My prayers had been answered!!!!!! After, a few text messages back and forth, they agreed to let us have their baby. I wanted to surprise my husband. So, I suggested a road trip, we drove the three hours to their house where they were waiting for us in the front yard. When we drove up, my husbands eyes lit up like a little kid on Christmas morning. He said 'look at their dog it is gorgeous', with tears in my eyes, I looked at him and said 'no, look at YOUR dog' and the rest is just a life long dream, I got to bring true for my husband!!!

Olivia has a potential family to adopt her. Rescue Me is a fantastic resource. I love my dog, and I'm so happy I found a home where she can thrive. Thank you so much. If the plans should fall through-this is where I'll go. Also, when I'm ready to adopt again, this is the place I'll go as well.
