     Rembrandt has found a forever home with a loving Mom and two sibling German Shepherd sisters and a horse! He is an inside dog and has a bed, he has a doggie door to go in and out of and has a beautiful 20 acre farm with a fenced in huge back yard. Most of all he gets to go in the car and go shopping with his Mom. We visited his new home and love his Mom. He is happy and content to play and this is what we prayed for. We are so grateful for rescuing him from a very bad situation and that we were his bridge to his forever home. We found out about Rescue Me at Duke Hospital where a patient had a German Shepherd rescue with her while she recuperated. Thank you Rescue Me for helping us find truly loving people that care about the welfare of their animals.

     We rescued Otto after viewing other dogs. We had recently lost our GSD, Chance, who was also a rescue. Otto is quite a dog. He is three to four years old, a bit mouthy, but doesn't bite. He had been starved by his owner, so food is a bit aggressive, but with TLC, he will be better. He has met some of our neighbors and they love him. He is very curious. We thank Rescue Me for giving us the chance to do a good deed and because we wanted another GSD. We initially went through German Shepherd Rescue, but the process was much too cumbersome, and depended on the whims of the surrogate owners. No such hassle here. We were able to speak directly with interim adoptor and settled things quickly. We had to have our vet give the past history of our other dog's care to the adoptor, to make sure he was going to a good home.

     Silver, a German Shep dog was rescued off the truck to hell and a certain horrible death by a group over in China called No Dogs Left Behind. Trina & Friends K-9 Rescue and Penelope Smith of Rescue Right (Northwind Kennels) in Bedford, New York agreed to take five dogs and bring them over from China. Four of the dogs were adopted immediately once they reached the US and Silver was listed on Rescue Me. Within a very short period of time, there was an inquiry by his prospective adopter and Karina Rosito of Trina & Friends K-9 Rescue brought him to his new home. We are all grateful for everyone involved in saving these five beautiful dogs and also for Rescue Me. Erika Murphy, Animal Lover and volunteer

     This sweet girl an one of her babies were set to be euthinizd for space at a high kill shelter. Her other two babies were adopted from the shelter, but they weren't black they were yellow. A nice group of people saw my picture with my baby boy and stepped up to save us from dying just for space. I went into a foster home and know I have my forever family. If this girl could talk, she would be thanking the village that saved her and her babies' lives. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     I was heartbroken to have to put up Winter, a white German Shepherd, for adoption after she was able to escape my yard too many times, didn't get along with my other rescue and needed training. I posted her on Rescue Me and in no time I had many nice people respond! And within just a few days, a nice and caring family came by to meet Winter and they just fell in love with each other. It was THE PERFECT FIT!!! She is now settling into her new home and is part of the family! I just want to say A BIG THANK YOU to Rescue Me! I was distraught at the idea of bringing her to a shelter and then I found this site. This site made it possible for Winter to have a new lease on life as opposed to being in a cage at a shelter and possibly being euthanized.      We have always had German Shepherds and have rescued in the past for adoptions. Our beloved Becka is with the angels. When Tom/Layne found Riley on Rescue Me, he knew she was the right fit for our home.. Riley has settled in really nicely, and even though she has a high levels of energy she is burning that off with the tennis balls that Karen supplied for us. Riley has investigated the whole house and has a nice plush bed to sleep in in the living room. She has a hoot of a personality plus she lets me know when she wants to go outside and has learned to sit and wait for me to go through the door. With patience and training Riley, will be just fine. She knows where her water is and comes and gets me already when she wants to go outside. She has five stuffed squeaky toys to play with also. We are so pleased with her! Thanks Karen for all your help today! She sat right in the back seat like she owned the car on the way home. I am so thankful that the previous owners did not have her put down. We have sent Karen pictures already and did I tell you she is wearing her new scarf? She just loves it and sat really pretty when I was putting it on her. There was a reason why she is in our forever home. Thanks to the staff at Rescue Me! Kudos.

     After three months of much turmoil, accusations, threats and despair from the rest of the family, I finally was pointed to the Rescue Me site. Almost immediately I received responses. Most were serious responses, some not so much. There were several wonderful German Shepherd folks that I had lengthy conversations with over the phone, which helped with the whole letting Heidi go syndrome I was having. Actually, the very first couple to meet Heidi were the adopters. I had very mixed feelings letting her go. Heidi was Dad's dog and he loved her to pieces. Letting her go was another piece of my Dad being let go. After he passed with no instructions for her care, I took it upon myself to get her the proper loving home. What an emotional task that I was not prepared for. I will always keep the Rescue Me site in my heart and prayers for all the help they gave to me, as well as all the other beauties they save every day. Sincerely, Lynn Ann

     I drove on a Friday afternoon to see the dog I found on Rescue Me. I had a feeling she was the buddy I needed. I got there close to four hours later because of Friday traffic. I was tuckered out. I met the young mom who had Sage with her. I was late and she was worried. Sage immediately took to me. We took a short walk with no pulling, no grouchy attitude. That was it. She was up on her shots and such. I've taken her to a vet and will have her back to be chipped. It's a good thing to do and no one knows without a scanner. She is a wonderful animal. She answers to me immediately and does as I tell her. Now she is set for life and I have a great companion that will be going to a school or two.

     Jett's Legacy had Edwina for the better part of ten months. They took great care of her while waiting for the right adopter to come along. My husband and I love this dog already. I hope never to have to use this site again (we loved the puppy we had to rehome) to give up an animal, but it's the ONLY site we will use if we are looking for another pet!

     This handsome guy was adopted by a wonderful family in Mississippi as a surprise for their 10 year old son. What dog wouldn't want to have a 10 year old boy to play with and grow up with?! They live in the country with acreage to run and play on, and even a pond. Over the course of the past few months, we had quite a few people respond to Jupiter's posting, but never followed up to my replies, texts or phone calls. Eventually, a family that was sincere about adopting him, contacted me. I am happy that I renewed his post on Rescue Me and hopefully Jupiter has found his forever home and family!

     I am delighted to tell you that our Samantha, my disabled sister's dog, was adopted last week. The couple she went to live in the next town, has experience with the breed, is ex-military, and is training her to be a Service Dog for PTSD. We could not have had a happier outcome, they are just the type of people we hoped for. Thanks again! Rescue Me is a terrific help. We tried for months to re-home her before finding you, and succeeded in finding the right dog parents very quickly. Couldn't let just anybody have her, which had previously complicated the process immensely.

     I posted our dog, Rue, the first time and had an outpouring of people want to adopt but things didn't work out for a number of reasons. Then the second time I posted I had more people contact some with concern that she would be put down if not adopted. The whole reason I came to this site was because I tried my local trainers and friends and family and no one was able or interested in adopting her. I didn't want to lose Rue to 'the system'. Rue was rescued by my family three years ago and was on the verge of being put down at that time because she doesn't do well in shelter locations and she had been mistreated at her home which made her very skittish around humans. I liked that with Rescue Me her future was not a tunnel with a light at the end but a field with endless possibilities. Rue met her new family yesterday, Alyssa and Dakota, fantastic people who have giant hearts and their three other dogs, Nadia, Bo and Ivory. It was honestly the hardest thing I ever had to do, leaving Rue, but I know she is in great hands and that is more than I can say for the dogs left in shelters forgotten by their previous owners.

Fostering Timber was an absolute pleasure and I fell in love with him from day one.      I saw the post for Max on the Rescue Me website and was saddened to read the story about him losing his owner. I lost my German Shepherd, King, last November. There has been a void in my house ever since. I contacted Rescue Me to let them know I was interested in meeting Max and was put in touch with the Director of Working Dogs Rescue. They were responsible for placing Max in a good home. Turns out Max was staying about an hour from where I live and after several emails and telephone calls, my lady friend and I were able to meet Max where he was staying. He took us immediately and we became very hopeful that Max would soon be part of our family. A week later, Max was brought to our home for a home visit and those who brought him were amazed at how comfortable Max was with us. They made a few calls and it was determined that if we were ready for him and still wanted him, he could stay with us immediately. It has been a little over a week and Max is settling in just fine. He has already had the opportunity to meet some of the other dogs in the neighborhood and has made new friends with them all. That void we were feeling has been filled and we are happy that Max decided to choose us for his new family. We felt comfortable with the whole process we went through to be able to take responsibility for Max. Everyone was great. Max is a great dog and we will gladly give him a great home and life. Thanks to all involved!

     We had to post our nine year old female Shepherd, Sophie, due to our grandchildren will be moving in with us and she doesn't do well with children.      I love Shepherds! I raised the breed and trained them. They are all gone and I have for years wanted another. I decided to get one! I got ripped off 1100. I decided to look around at dog pounds went to several of them. I also had people looking around. I heard of one here and there, but when I got to the places the dogs had already been adopted or sold. For many weeks, I tried and reserched many sites. Then, I ran across Rescue Me and started looking. I ran into a lady with Sophie and talked to her. She said a lady was going to look at her today and if she didn't want her she would let me know. I was hoping she wouldn't take her. Yesterday, she called and said she got another dog and it's all downhill now! Sophie has a wonderful family with all the love she wants to have and the lady can come see her or call me anytime to check on her. I could have never asked for a better Shepherd! She's so special and precious. I want to thank everyone involved with this the site and the wonderful people I got her from. God bless you all!

     We contacted the owner of Shadow and set up a time to see him. He was in poor condition and needed medical attention. We picked him up right then, and scheduled a visit to the vet the next morning. He was treated for a yeast infection in his ears, fleas and a skin allergy, given all his shots, tested for heart worms, and other worms. He was put on heart worm medication, flea medication and special shampoo for his skin problems. We had him 10 days and scheduled him to be neutered. That was done last week, and so far, Shadow is doing fine after surgery. He has to go back at the end of this week to have his staples removed and checked out. He's gained about ten pounds and looks amazingly better. He's very hyper and loves his new home on the farm. He's gotten along pretty good with the cattle and the chickens, but he's no lover of cats. Time will fix that. He's a fast learner and so happy to please. He's learned to sit and lay down and get in the truck to go to the fields and check cattle with just simple commands. Super smart dog and we are so happy to have him. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     Rescue Me was Heaven sent. It has been the only site that I received results from or any answers for that matter. For three years, I have been searching for the right family for Holly, my GSD. I had written several sites about Holly's situation and my anxiety of keeping her after she attacked a neighbor's Beagle just four months after I adopted her at age two. Holly is super smart, super sweet and absolutely gorgeous. It was not her fault that she had never been socialized to other dogs or properly trained. I went through a few trainers that helped with her, however, not with me and my anxiety. I was no longer able to take her out for walks and experienced daily fear and anxiety about her getting out and attacking a dog without even knowing if she would ever do that again. Rescue Me gave me many leads. I talked to and met many people, but again, I was only willing to re-home her into the PERFECT situation. I found that perfect situation last Friday! Holly is now living with a family that has had experience with three German Shepherds, She lives on 40 acres in the country! Holly will be much loved and can now live out the remainder of her life to her full potential that she so deserves! Thank you!

     Never in a million years did I think it would be so easy to find a good family to adopt our dog. When I registered with this service I doubted that folks would reach out to us. I posted my pet on the 17th of this month. Within a couple of hours, I received numerous inquiries and continued to receive inquiries as of this morning. Today, the 22nd, our beautiful dog was adopted by a wonderful home. Seeing the instant response rate, meeting and talking with so many potential new owners took much of the stress off my children, who had to part with a pet that has long become a part of our family. Words cannot express how deeply grateful I am that Rescue Me exists. Thank you!!

     Thank you so much for helping me find a forever home for my German Shepherd She was a beautiful girl, but it became dangerous in my environment to continue to keep her. Rescue Me gave me a way to find her a great home and I also used some of the interest to find a forever home for a friend's German Shepherd.      Thank you to Rescue Me for helping a wonderful dog find a wonderful family today! We picked up a gorgeous German Shepherd at a roadside gas station late at night in a snow storm and we brought him home. He seemed to have been abandoned, and he had no micro-chip. Since we have two dogs already, we weren't in a great position to take him in for good. We bought him a kennel and kept him for a couple days, playing with him tons and giving him a nice bath. Within hours of posting him for adoption on this site, I had several inquiries via email! The adopters came today to check him out, and they seem to be a great match. They feel so blessed by this rescue site. This is a terrific website for matching pets to owners!

     I'm so excited and blessed to have Sasha in my life. I am a former Marine and 16 year, former law enforcement officer. I suffer from PTSD, Anxiety and Depression and qualified for a service dog. Sasha is going to be trained as a service dog. He will be my best friend and battle buddy! Thank you, Rescue Me!
