Poor Charlie has had such a sad life in his 3 short years, at less than a year old he was left in a rented flat when his owners moved out , we are not sure how long he was in there on his own. From there he was taken to the council pound where he would have been euthanized had it not been for German Shepherd Rescue South offering this boy a safe haven. Since being with us Charlie has gone out twice to a new home but both times were not successful, Charlie has been fine during the day, both families have said that you couldn't wish for a more loving attentive dog but when the evening comes it appears Charlie wants to be top dog and feels the ... (Read More)need to guard one of the family and both times this has been the male in the house and he will not allow anyone else near them. Charlie has recently been in foster for several months with a single person, where he was an exemplary house guest; there were no issues of guarding or aggression at all. At present Charlie is in kennels which is dominated by females and he is an absolute sweetheart and a firm favourite with all the staff, he is behaving like the perfect gentleman we all know he is. Having not been successful living with a family, we have decided that in Charlie's best interest he needs to have a home with a single person, who has German shepherd experience and are willing to work with him. Charlie will need time to settle in and any new owner will need to have the patience to allow Charlie to do this. (Less)

Sheba is a beautiful 2 year old Black and Tan female. Sheba is coming into rescue due to her family's work commitments and they feel they are not giving enough time to her and she deserves more. Sheba is used to living with another dog and with young children. Sheba is a very friendly girl though can be a bit nervous on first meetings. Sheba has now been with me 24hours and she is an absolute sweetheart, she is very nervous at the moment this is understandable as she has lost so much recently, she is a bit 'scatty' on the lead walks very well one minute and then tends to zig zag the next but this is easily remedied. She was an angel with ... (Read More)my 16 month old grand daughter didn't really take much notice of her. Sheba shows her nervousness with a couple of barks but there is absolutely no aggression in this little girl what so ever. (Less)
